Re: Clutch master cylinder reservoir seal?
When this thread gets indexed, someone looking for that part# will get 1 hit instead of 0. 27x22 is the same as the gear oil plug washers isn't it? IIRC I used 17 of those when doing a full gear oil change, so I know I have some left...

Thanks...
What does that part# refer to? I find zero hits on EI, SAV, or anywhere at all with any search engine.

Clutch master cylinder reservoir seal?
I'll be sending my clutch master cylinder body off to Apple Hydraulics soon for resleeving-- once a thin 27mm wrench arrives so I can remove the reservoir... but I am not finding any information about the reservoir seal 07-10-02, which doesn't seem to be available. Is there a replacement for it? FYI...

Re: Wheel drive oil change
Well a leaky diff seal would make sense. I'm doing the diffs next, so expect the rear one will be low on oil.

Wheel drive oil change
I've been working through my 710M Radio changing all its precious bodily fluids since I don't know their history. Just changed the gear oil in the wheel drives, and to my surprise, the two rear hubs had so much oil in them that when I removed the filler plug, *glug* *glug* *glug* lots of oil came ou...

Infamous molex group/part numbers
The infamous molex on the engine shroud, source of many alternator/charging problems, has struck again and I need to rebuild it. It wasn't the red wire that broke, but the male quick-disconnect itself. The molex is looking cracked and brittle, so I'm going to replace it and change the connectors on ...

Re: Engine temperature sensor - has anyone added one?
Pics of now-removed CHT sensor... if I were doing it again, I would use something else that didn't require the sensor to mount under a spark plug. Surely it's a good place in theory (a hot place on the head), but in practice it's not confidence-inspiring. http://ian.macky.net/cht_sensor1.jpg http://...

Re: VDO 332-902 Voltmeter
Thanks. SAV says "Fits hole in dash on Pinzgauer", but I guess it depends on what you mean by "fits". They don't show or mention an adapter ring, but maybe one is included anyway.

Re: Engine temperature sensor - has anyone added one?
After melting my #3 piston, I want to add a temperature sensor to monitor #3 and/or #4. I found a 12MM CHT SENSOR designed for air cooled engines to be attached under an engine bolt or spark plug. Has anyone added this type of sensor or any other? Yeah I had a CHT pickup under the #2 military spark...

VDO 332-902 Voltmeter
VDO's Cockpit International 24V Voltmeter, catalog # 332 902 looks right and is the same one SAV sells (I think), but does it need a trim ring/adapter or is it a perfect fit? I haven't seen any pictures of one installed so not sure.

Re: source for engine cover gasket
I thought about trying that but wasn't sure... if it worked for you, though, I will give it a try.
undysworld: The seal is relatively cheap since it's not NOS-- it's some new seal that they will send you 3m of off a bulk spool.

Re: source for engine cover gasket
I bought a replacement seal from SAV but have to decide how to glue it to the engine cover... the 3M weatherstrip adhesive sounds good, but you have to apply a thin coat to both sides, wait until it's tacky, then stick the seal to the cover... OK, but it's about 13' of seal and I have to do this sol...

Re: Tail light gasket replacement?
Here's a pic of the OEM (I think) seal, the dairy one I tried (right OD, wrong width), and the last is what I'm using now, rubber sink strainer gaskets which I got from Lowes. They're part #726060 and are available various places, usually 5 for about $6; search for sink strainer gaskets "726060...

Re: Tail light gasket replacement?
Yes, the fan spanner is a perfect fit for the two recesses around the screws on the tail light lens. Considering how hard I had to pull to get the lenses off, it probably wouldn't be any riskier to use the spanner to twist a lens to break the seal if it's stuck. If I had to do it again, I'd try that...
