My 710K was insured in CA with AAA as a Steyr Pinzgauer. How did you describe your truck when they turned you down?

Now that my Pinzgauer is sold it's time to get rid of the last remaining spare parts. Pertronix Ignitor is brand new in box, all other parts are in good working condition and were on the truck when I bought it a few years ago. I drove it to Vegas today, and the new owner will be taking it the rest of the way to Salida, CO. He's switching from an M to K.

Often if the heater hasn't been operated in a while, you have to press a reset in order to convince it to run. Remove the cover on the top of the heater that is secured with a knurled nut. Press the red lever on the back of the heater, replace the cover, and try again.

No smog in California for a '74, but the prospective buyer currently has a 710M so presumably he is familiar with Colorado rules. I'll mention the collector vehicle plates in case he is unaware.

There is a pending sale - looks like my truck will be moving to Colorado.

It's listed by a dealer who probably doesn't see a lot of Pinzgauers, so I wouldn't take anything in the ad too seriously. My guess is that 5 forward gears + reverse = 6. The ad also states 6 wheel drive, 4x4, whatever that means.

The bottle jack at Grainger is Chinese, so of unknown (and probably suspect) quality. Since a bottle jack is most often used away from home when a floor jack and jack stands aren't available, it's not worth risking an injury.
