Following this thread... :-) I've had some issues that at least sound similar to the original post... Problem comes with attempting to leave from idle... Complete and total bog... Have to hit the peddle (smartly once or maybe twice quickly) to burp it off of idle, once that is done, and its over 1K ...

Good question... As far as i can tell, the starter would have to be removed in one piece (probably after gas tank is removed) in order to access the two round slotted ports... Assuming the brushes are behind those. Brushes would be a much cheaper fix

I would say 30 amps is WAY more than you need for the items listed as each of them is probably less than 2 amps and more likely 1.... Still nothing wrong with having extra, there are always things you can add to it.... CB's, scanners 12v lighting and if you really want to chew up amps, a VHF. Key do...
