Re: Trailer wiring causing issues
Thank you all very much for the replies, they are helping... Slowly I'm discovering the "unique" wiring. I suspect someone in the past worked on this truck and fiddled with things as it doesnt appear to be following most of the standards. Will have to track down their changes and reasons a...

Trailer wiring causing issues
I've been struggling (much more than I should) to get trailer lights running correctly. I've also received some help from Thilo (thank you very much sir)... Here is what is known.... I'll try to use a clockface as a guide. and this is based off using a volt meter with the black tester in the 4-ocloc...

Re: yukon trip pics
Amazing pictures, thanks for sharing... My Wife has been researching houses in Wasilla, so its not out of the question that we may one day be there... Ironic since I had to get the Pinz from across the country once already.

Re: What was your longest trip in your pinz?
After adding some $$$ to get the truck quicker, I was at $1800.00 Southern CA to NH, came on a standard car carrier. The quote was cheaper but in order to get a driver to really want to go get the truck asap, I added a couple hundred to arrive at that figure. Longest trip (in arguably a VERY comfort...

Re: Sputtering and stuff
Im not really sure myself... I'm hoping the carbs just need some adjustment. I have a very old-style gauge for sync'ing them, so I'll be attempting that first.

Re: Sputtering and stuff
Following this thread... :-) I've had some issues that at least sound similar to the original post... Problem comes with attempting to leave from idle... Complete and total bog... Have to hit the peddle (smartly once or maybe twice quickly) to burp it off of idle, once that is done, and its over 1K ...

Symptom of a bad starter?
Good Morning All..... I've tried searching the archives but havent seen a 100% similar problem or description of starting problems, so I'm hoping that someone more familiar with this may be able to point me in the right direction. My initial guess is a dead spot but having never run into a starter p...

I would say 30 amps is WAY more than you need for the items listed as each of them is probably less than 2 amps and more likely 1.... Still nothing wrong with having extra, there are always things you can add to it.... CB's, scanners 12v lighting and if you really want to chew up amps, a VHF. Key do...

I hear ya... to bad about the factory... I searched for two weeks before finding a small mom-pop shop in SC that could ship them to me.... Ordered their last 8... I do like them and the TRXUS seemed to be the most difficult to find vs some other the other INTERCO styles... We'll see once I chew thro...

Thanks... I do like the look of the black much better than the Aluminum and the tires are more chunky now. Eventually I'll have to decide on a color or two for the rest of it but thats down the road. Right not Im just trying to get every item working/fixed or updated. This forum has been invaluable ...

New tires
Just got these installed.... They were VERY difficult to find in the Northeast but I hear that they are more available in the Western US. Interco TRXUS Swampers. E Rated 33 x 12.5 x 17R Even though they are SUPER aggressive, they are IMO, very quiet. The rims are also the heavy (4,500 lb rated) that...

Congratulations Pete, Having only been a pinz owner myself for 2 months now, I can understand the excitement and I can also understand the nail bitting while they are en route. I was lucky and had a very easy purchase with only minor difficulties with the shipping. I still find something new and int...
