34x10.5 fit perfectly well to the Pinzgauer. I use tires with a slightly larger diameter and a bit wider on my 712. I would translate the (measured) tire size as a 34.5x11.0-16. They do rub occasionally on the screw head that holds the fuel tank splash guard in place but really nothing to worry abou...

You neither need to remove the steering wheel nor fold the windshield down.
Just loosen the 5 big screws on the dashboard and pull it out.

Almost all Austrian Army M Pinzgauers have those doortops. The problem is to find a decent set because on most of the doortops you can get on ebay either the canvas or the window itself is torn. Actually they are not very expensive here. If you take your time you will most probably find a decent set...

I replace it every 10k or after every wheeling trip that involved
deep water crossings.
Whatever comes first, but usually its the latter.

You can use standard 75W90 gear oil in the TD Hubs without any
Problems.

I use the same Oil in my TD like in my gassers as the factory
spec Glygoyle 30 is very hard to find and veeery expensive.

In summer I use the standard Austrian Army soft door tops.
They can be released quickly without the need to screw the
doorhandles of.

There's a Picture of my Pinzgauer with them on just to
give jou an Idea.

@wwcommando: The engine is a good old 180 hp Jeep inline six engine. Since there was a power steering pump attached to the engine I chose to make a good use out of it. It is actually a similar conversion profpinz made. maybe my work is not as clean as his but the Steering box is a similar G w...

Seems like you have two leaks. One on the Ball Joint and one on the Hub seal. Can't see it clearly though. The Ball joint leak might be because of loose screws. So try to tighten them first. The Hub seal is the more urgent one because the oil will contaminate the Brake Liners if left dripping inside...

Check your V-Belt tension.

Mine did the same thing not too long ago. The reason was a worn out V-Belt.

Yep 12,5" is definitively too wide at least in the 34"-35" diameter
range.

@pinzwheeling:

You are right every hard contact of the Tires with body parts
should be avoided and will result in damaged parts.

But slight rubbing won't do anything.

Hand tight should be right. The screws shouldn't deform the metal plate that holds the seal in place. By the way you don't need to cut the seal to mount it correctly without pressing the wheel drive off. It is fairly easy, you just need to screw the seal off. Unbolt the steering link. Then dismount ...

Here in Europe 35" Tires are considered to be the maximum. They do rub occasionally but really nothing to worry about. I have seen a few axle shafts break but those were situations where something had to let go.... @pinzwheeling: are you sure the wheel drives were glued on correctly with Loctit...
