Ya, been a tough decision! I have been driving it all summer, but adding the 4runner to the lineup, I just don't have time for both. I'm sure I will regret this......

Someone in the past put a second alternator on my Pinz and just lined it up with the existing pulleys. One big belt and they seemed pretty happy I suppose with whatever they were powering with it. My front diff has a slight leak (drip...drip.........drip) from the front diff after a rebuild as well. If it's not significant, leave it. pulling the front end isn't much fun.

As Jim pointed out, I the treads are the weak link, esp. in the casting. If your not all that keen on boring a hole through and through, the approach I have taken is HeliCoil, this is a stronger joint than the original tread as it is a larger diameter and the insert is hardened SS. Pretty sure given the ujoints that were intact were obsolete European units. The second shaft I bought from the same dealer was slightly different, but I would imagine suppliers changed throughout the run during the years. After buying the second "OEM" shaft, it was a different size as wel...

Ya, mine was in the mid 30's, have to look back. Odd there'd be different sizes.
