Electronic CHT gauges
Just mocked this up tonight - currently running on random data but will eventually take individual cylinder readings and display them on the gauge. The average of all 4 readings will be passed to the EFI controller in lieu of an actual coolant temperature reading http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlW1u...

Re: MegaSquirt EFI install
How confident are you that you won't have a vacuum leak at the joint to the air plenum? The tops of the injector housings have precision machined round fittings that fit into the original seals (which are brand new, as it happens) If you mean the flange fitting at the top of the box section then I'...

Just had contact from tame welder and he's finished sticking my bits together: http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk76/richardspandit/Pinzgauer/EFI/0B556AEF-5B09-493F-88E0-7A12554A5D7A-17108-00000A1699365814.jpg These are the boxes that will be replacing the carbs but retaining the top air plenum Go...

Re: EFI camoflage
Ah, that makes sense. I was going to buy a new dropper specifically for the ignition as running the stereo and internal lights might overload the unit if it's running the EFI at the same time

Re: EFI camoflage
Wow, that's a lot of electronics! What's the top box (the bottom one is the ECU, I presume)?
Mine is going behind the bulkhead too, but on the passenger side as there were already grommeted wiring holes there and it was closer to where the distributor used to be

Re: spring loaded exhaust connection upgrade
I need to get something fitted here that can take an O2 sensor. What I'm planning is taking the flange bit that bolts to the heat exchanger and fitting it onto the manifold pipes. This will leave me with two flat flanges (about 137mm apart) that I can just bolt a fitting into. I'll still have some m...

Re: limit engine/exhaust smells in the vehicle?
I'm told EFI will limit the gasoline smells... on mine it's currently made it worse (due to a high pressure leak )

Interesting looking system - pity they don't offer one for a NDIX36... I know it's not side draft carb so not going to be as simple but looks very affordable

Re: MegaSquirt EFI install
Well, tried something a bit different today! Took the balance pipe, between the intakes, off and replaced it with two fuel injectors, plumbed into the high pressure fuel system (that is now controlled by the Megasquirt ECU). The throttle linkages and return springs were removed from the carbs and th...

Re: Seat backrest bands
I used inner tube, doubled up (i.e. looped around one bar and tyed at the other side) - was tricky feeding it through the seats (mine are woven cloth) and tying a knot in it was difficult too but it's pretty rugged
