Re: Need a BEGINNERS acetylene torch kit
So. ... specifics help. Ujoints in the primary drives haft or halfshafts? Still the same in the approach. With the half shafts, you really need to be dressing the hub assembly down meaning a full separation of the steering knuckle and removal of the halfshafts. The Ujoints in are capped needle beari...

Agreed.... Much easier to find what you might want when displayed prominently in the subject rather than just random parts for sale lumped into one post.

How about cleaning all the cooling fins?
I'm sure most would be amazed at the amount of road dust and other debris that can find itself into the corrugations in the oil cooler......never mind the more obvious places such as within the air tunnel just behind the fan and between the cylinders.

We've got a few in NY as you come up the Thruway......PinzgauerPete, who I'm sure will likely chime in soon here, is just south of me near Middletown, as I'm deep in the Catskills.
A bit futher north toward the lake region is Metowee......hmmmm.

Re: Picking up our Tgb11, what should we bring?
Dude, if you've already blown your wad on the truck where you can't afford the vehicle transportation costs from Newark to Platts....like $400-$700.....you just blew your wad on the wrong truck! Don't mean to be harsh, but time for a wake up call.....its not a '98 Tacoma of something.

Re: Picking up our Tgb11, what should we bring?
Hmmmm, Newark to Plattsburg via a newly imported, unproven of its road worthiness, vintage European military vehicle.......not the most responsible way to pick it up. I'm on the same page as Jim. I'm an over-zealous person by nature, and I would still consider not only my own safety but also that of...

Re: Tilt steering box forward?
Isn't the pitman forged? No bending there. Might be easier to have your steering wheel stripped, dished and re-wrapped. ......or consider how much weight you might have to shed to make the general fit more accessible. I know two guys up here that drive in the 303 cabs and each stands around 6'2"...

Re: Tilt steering box forward?
Steering wheel size wouldn't be an issue at all. Looks like there's a good 10" between the steering wheel and the windshield, Vince. I just need to know how the steering box attaches to the frame, and if there's any way to tweak that. As long as the steering box is as secure as stock, there sh...

Patrick Robb is a charm to speak with, although I'd never reccommend buying a vehicle sight unseen....so get up there and check some out.
He's got a fairly nice 710m with some upgrades (red top, yellow brush guards, winch, etc.)

Re: Alternative Float Level Check - Not Recommended
Gimme a hot second with the TIG and viola.....a float chamber with a TIG repair! In other words, a turd is still a turd no matter how its polished. Lemme guess, plugged for use by the owner with a sheet metal screw, right? One can be taught new and better things, but never is the IQ raised. In the w...
