Sales logic: 6 wheels? Probably 6-speeds too. [FACE WITH STUCK-OUT TONGUE AND WINKING EYE]

Re: Door Locks - Why so expensive???

Step 1 done! Find a lock that will fit in the hole. Im not perfectly happy with the way the bezel sticks out so far, but it'll do. I had to laser cut an adapter to keep it from spinning and am still waiting on a final version. Turns out the back door lock only has half as many notches as the front, ...

Re: Low RPM's a knuckle saver offroad

Very true.

I should also say now that I remember it, the idle was set ridiculously high last year.

Low RPM's a knuckle saver offroad

When I tuned my pinz last winter I feared that I gave it too low of RPM's. I think it idles in the area of 600-700. But after a summer of rocky trails and steep declines, I must say the low RPM's make traversing difficult terrain much less stressful and jarring. https://vimeo.com/105623511 https://v...

Re: Door Locks - Why so expensive???

Some locking ideas. If both front doors are set to be lockable from the inside one of the windows were secured with a display case lock (not very expensive) you could secure your Pinz for cheap. Not the best option however it's an option... See this thread for info about how to lock your Pinz from ...

Re: vibration in/thru body.

I have noticed a vibration at speed that randomly disappears after stopping then resuming full speed. I chocked it up to balancing beads not doing their job part of the time.

But you probably don't have balance beads since you just replaced tires.

Re: Safely draw 15amps J-Box connector behind passenger seat

On my pinz, that box is unfused unswitched, and probably not wired to size for 15 amps. Wired to the starter positive.

You want a fuse at the very least.

Re: Door Locks - Why so expensive???

Those are good ideas Mr. Dunn. In addition, if for some reason it's locked when the door is slammed, something's gonna break or bend.

Adding a manual unlock definitely complicates the mechanism, unfortunately.

Re: Door Locks - Why so expensive???

I've been looking into manufacturing a batch of these, as i have access to a laser CNC and a manual mill. I think this price is absolutely absurd.

What I'll need is a lock first though, so the part can be designed to fit. If anyone has expertise in lock smithing or locating we should talk!

Re: Can you help me source an intercom system?

I've thought about sound powered headsets, but the price when new is not any less than powered headsets, except the savings on a base station. There is also no possibility for music, either. My company uses them in noisy engine rooms and they do work acceptably well and are very simple to install. S...
