Winch is 24v. My truck had a 12/24 converter mounted up where the glove box normally mounts. There is also 3 buss bars behind the driver seat, ground, 24v, and 12v. My 12v bar was supplied by the converter and was also connected to one of the batteries, very strange.

I just registered my 1986 718 in the wonderful state of NJ. You will need to take a picture or tracing of the VIN as the european VINS send up a red flag because the year of manufacture digit doesn't coincide.
