Re: Anyone have experience with Dorotheum Auction House?
I've been following these auctions too, if you look carefully at the exhausts you can see that in many photos the pinzgauers are running... Often it is very faint and sometimes there is white steam. However there is still no guarantee of gearbox or drive line problems but it is a good indication if ...

Re: rims and tires
I also use transit wheels for a secondary set of wheels and tyres, (to save my simex for intended use). They are 6.5 and the offset is identical to the pinz wheels as is the thickness of the rim. While sourcing them I found most wreckers told me they only came in 5.5, then I found one who knew a bit...

Re: lpg- cylinder head temps
Haf-e.... I'm using water to heat my vaporizer, I'm heating it from my exhaust header. I fabricated a small stainless expansion tank and brazed a copper radiator cap neck to it. I'm using a very small electric booster pump (Davies Craig pt# 9001) to circulate the water. It has a brushless motor and ...

Re: RHD steering parts
Hi Eric, you have probably already seen that FMV4x4.com have all the LHD joints on their site, 98 euro for the double joint ($144 aud) and 75 euro for the single ($96 aud), I know it doesn't help much except as a comparison as to what to pay for the RHD equivalents. I agree with your $200 estimate f...

Re: G-wagen power steering fluid type??
To answer my own question ...I just googled it and it seems I should have used Pentosin CHF11S or the genuine stuff Q1320001as dexron ATF probably isn't good for it if what I read is correct, in hindsight I should have known MB don't use dexron but this didn't occur to me at the time. Very few Km's ...

G-wagen power steering fluid type??
Greetings, I've recently changed all the oils in my 712 which has G-wagen power steering conversion using both the G pump and steering box. As I don't have any G -wagen info on oil specs I just used a dexron 3 ATF as used in most power steering setups. Now I have a slight groaning coming from the pu...

Re: finally getting around an introducion
First I have to thank edzz for resizing and posting those photos for me, I had no idea about resizing images until edzz explained in his recent PM to me. When I've learnt to turn my missus' laptop on, I will then learn about resizing and post some more photos if people want. Looks like its a three d...
