Re: Carborator rebuild questions

In the process of cleaning out my rear carb now. Posting this here are most of the experts are already in the thread. Funny thing was the front carb was missing part number 8 above, which is listed as "Protect Straine" on SAV website. When I was cleaning out the rear carb I found the missi...

^ Vince, I have never been to the states. If I was going to do it I would want at least 6 months to a year for some exploring.

Can't afford to do that until kids are finished school, so it might be a while yet.

Re: Will this spring tool work with Pinz?

Ok, for reference I found 2 threads with decent photos. Second thread has a home made one and the factory spec compressor. http://real4x4forums.com/PinzgauerBBS/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4578&start=15&hilit=spring+compressor http://real4x4forums.com/PinzgauerBBS/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4346&am...

You could make a bolt on bracket that is attached the the bolt that holds the windscreen strap/plate on.

Re: Leather Steering Wheel Cover

I had one of those but I felt like it was just too big and thick. The alternative was easy... Go to a bike (bicycle, not motorcycle) shop and buy a package of black handlebar tape. Mine held up great for years and was a great improvement over the stock wheel. Cheap too! You could also try a sports ...

Trailer looks awesome and very jealous you could find it for $200. 8)

Are the safety chains long enough you can cross them over? So if the pintle ever drops the hook it would fall onto the crossed chains rather than dig into the road?

Re: Portal axle Gwagen coming to the US?

Just saw one in white at the petrol station a few minutes ago.

Was going to take a photo but the driver stayed in his car, and you can get in trouble for that here.

Looked like you could ride a skateboard under it

pretty sure it would one way or the other. Few bolts and some sealant against a chopper.

PS - I like your truck too.

Re: Pinzgauer 712W 6x6 Workshop Truck (Middle East)

Wow - looks like a great truck! The 712W's seem to be the most rare variant. Love the large side hatch window also - could make a roach coach / lunch truck out of it! GLWS Yeah, we made jokes about that. If you can get it to a remote place with lots of people you could pretty much charge whatever y...
