Re: RPM question

I thought the proper idle speed was a lot closer to 1k RPM?

Re: Voltage Surge?

This is the reason a volt meter on these trucks is a great idea!

Re: Pinz values

You've got a lot to unpack in that post. Hard to tell a value without seeing some pictures and a little more detail. A 710M can go anywhere from 5k to around 18k, depending on issues and condition. Most everything can be replaced, parts can be sourced. That said, this is not a cheap truck to get par...

Re: Reverse-mount 12V alternator

Great job, I am sure a lot of people would be interested in purchasing one of these. I will be interested to see how it wears over time, but looking great

Re: 712M transmission shifting problem

When I first bought my truck, the PO showed me the "trick" to get it into R... Jiggle this, push down here, pray... Once I got it home, I found that the Lock angle for shifter needed readjustment, and once set to the proper spec, no issues. My linkage bushings did wear out this year and failed while...

Re: Sun Visor adjustment

This isn't going to be helpful, but my visor has never come loose and dropped while driving. I would suspect something had failed, or needs to be adjusted.

Check the "brake" page on this issue, I think there has been problems getting a hold of them.

Re: Brake reservoir caps (white ones)

When thinking about the repair with RTV, I know it would work, but I do agree, a patch on a Pinz brake system did not seem appropriate for long term. Poised the question in the classified and was able to source a reservoir and a set of seals from a forum member. I learned that there are a few versio...

Re: Looking for pop-out air vents

I believe these are pretty rare to come across... Seem like they were options for pinz's that saw use in desert/hot climates

A - looks closest to mine, but I need to get my hands on the truck to be sure.

I'll send a PM.

Re: Brake reservoir caps (white ones)

Thanks for the heads up, I figured I would be going the sealant route. Never used the alumilite stuff, looks cool, will probably just see how the RTV will hold up without it...

Did you just end up replacing the whole reservoir, or could you replace just the caps?

Thanks

Brake reservoir caps (white ones)

Was doing my yearly maintenance and was having having trouble bleeding my brakes with the motive bleeder. Finally diagnosed the issue, one of the white caps on the reservoir is split, so it won't hold pressure. I was able to use a clamp to get it to pressurize and bleed it but not something I am goi...

Re: WTB: Brake fluid reservoir complete or caps

When flushing my brakes this week, discovered I also have this issue, cracked left cap... Appreciate the tips to patch, any luck on finding a source or how to replace those smaller caps?
