Happy new year!
I'm still looking for a used top for a 710M. Any condition will do. Would like the front and back. But the Back is more important.
Thanks for any leads.

Alternator repair
A few pointers I have for removing the alternator and repairing it. In my case some of the power diodes went out so I had to replace them. But I also replaced the brushes and checked all the measurements to the manual. If the stator winding or rotor is wrong measurement then you can order a new one ...
Re: Fan tool
I was able to use a battery powered impact wrench and reverse the nut right off. So the fan tool wasn't needed.

Re: Bad Diode? Charging indicator light on when vehicle is off
Ok. Found this in the manual. Looks like you are referring to #1 in this diagram. pinz_alt.jpg SAV sells the rear housing with the diodes pressed in? https://swissarmyvehicles.com/pinzgauer/09-20-12/7121095460/housing-rear-with-diodes-1-125-884-208 But I think I will first try to remove the old diod...

Re: Bad Diode? Charging indicator light on when vehicle is off
Sorry. Looks like that voltmeter went bad which sucks cause it was a nice one. Anyways checked with another voltmeter. With engine off/key off. D+ is 24.5v Red wire is 25.5v Power at battery is 25.8v So D+ is getting power which is not good. If I pull out the ground disconnect key then D+ and red wi...

Re: Bad Diode? Charging indicator light on when vehicle is off
By the way. I'm looking for a way to test the relay (under the drivers seat area). I found some old threads that had a link to how to test it but the link is dead. Looks like if I just disconnect the ground leads to the relay this should disable it. And another update I did find that my manual groun...

Re: Bad Diode? Charging indicator light on when vehicle is off
When you turn off the Battery switch does the Switch bypass relay stay ON (#53 in the schematic) or does the dimly lit Alternator light turn off? Thanks for the quick reply rmel. I haven't had time to check this until now. This may be the issue of the ground relay not working. I do hear a relay cli...

Bad Diode? Charging indicator light on when vehicle is off
So last week I fixed the common issue with the alternator plug being rusted out. (It was the red wire that needed fixed) After I fixed that I noticed that the charging indicator light is now dimly lit when the ignition is turned off. And it’s a slow battery drain. But the charging system does work w...

Re: Winch breaker and cut-off switch
More than once I've installed a ground kill-switch on the contactor/solenoid ground wire which makes sure they wont get activated until you are ready to use it, especially useful when installing a wireless system. Exactly! This is one of the reasons I want to have a cutoff switch or breaker switch.

Winch breaker and cut-off switch
From reading the forums here it sounds like Warn doesn't recommend using a breaker when hooking the winch to the battery. I'm wondering what peoples real world experience is with this topic. Has someone tried using a breaker and found that it keeps popping when in heavy use? Was thinking about using...
