This is my experience concerning registration in Italy. I registered a 710M and a 710K as historical vehicles (just as wrote gunipinzmutt) without any problems. Apparently, the DOT is happy for any technical responsibility being taken by the National Historical Auto-moto Club (a private entity!) On ...

Ugo, we know each other since we exchanged messages in an other italian forum few months ago. I'm following your paths since I started with gasoline pinzies to finish with a TD. Is your 716 registered in Italy as car or truck? How many seats? Hi , I sent you TWO personal message on this forum mailb...

Eberspacher heater failure
Hi all, A failure has developed in my Eberspacher heater. When switched on, fuel drips from the little rubber pipe on the top of the heater (accessible by removing the heater cover). Can a spare rubber pipe be easily found? Or, can it be repaired? It seems to have special crimp connectors at its end...

Valve tappets and engine code - surprise !!!!
My TD user manual says that the engine may have either adjustable or hydraulic valve tappets, and engine code changes according to it. So, I checked the code of my engine to know which type of tappets it has, and ... surprise! The engine of my ex-Swedish 716K has what appears a Volvo code (i.e. D24T...

On the road again
I finally had the front LH hub repaired. The obvious failure was an oil leak, which ended up in both inner and outer ball bearings needing replacement (besides the oil seal of course). The bill I paid was terrible ... - 8 hours labour (all bolts were rusty in my ex-Swedish Pinz, and extrac...

Thank you very much for the very complete explaination and hints. It is clear that you have quite a deep experience in the TD Pinz - I wish I could live near your garage! Unfortunately, this is not the case. I am now leaving for summer holydays. I will be back in one month and resume working on the ...

4WD won't unlock
Trying to find out all problems in my 716 ... The 4WD locks without problems as soon as I flip the switch, but is very "lazy" in unlocking. The only way to get a quick unlock is taking a sharp turn (city cornering e.g.). What should I check? Tightness of lock vacuum pipes? Old grease in lo...

I would have liked to have that tranny. it was for a 716 Why, Dave? Do you need more torque for climbing? But, it would be a bit worse on highway. At the moment, I am happy with the stock tranny and automatic transmission. A lot of torque for climbing, even if fuel consupmtion is 710-like. Regards,...
