Re: Smartcar seat airbags
I figured it out. You pop open the lower back of the seat cover, which is connected with a sort of hooked seam you can pry apart. Then you peal up the back until you reveal the 3 nuts holding on the airbag, and the one connecter. Remove the nuts, pull out the connector and then you can pull out the ...

Smartcar seat airbags
Did anyone ever figure out how to remove the smartcar seat airbags safely or find instructions that don't cost money?

Replacing front coil springs
Hello, I am having my mechanic replace the front coil springs on my 710K. He has jacked up the diff, and removed the limit strap and shock. But even with the coils squeezed together is unable to get enough space to get the spring assembly to come out. Is there a trick to this?

Pinz specalist near San Francisco?
A friend in San Francisco is ready to buy a pinz after I demonstrated mine to him romping high speed on trails. He has found an affordable non-runner. Are there any Pinz specialists in the bay area that he could take it to for a going through?

Re: 710K over-voltage
Ah yes, you are correct. It was the blue wire that was badly connected using a wire nut, not the red wire. The wire nut was red. Its so ugly what they did.

Re: 710K over-voltage
Solved! The problem was the wiring from the alternator. For some reason a prior owner bypassed the molex connector and had the red wire wound in with a bunch of other wires and wire nut. That connection was the problem. Redid that and no more 4500 light and no more over-voltage.

Re: 710K over-voltage
Thanks for the reply. So in your diagram, the Voltage Regulator is integrated into the alternator and not the separate part I replaced that is mounted in front passenger corner of the engine compartment?

710K over-voltage
My 710K is going over-voltage at certain RPMs. I first noticed this when my 24>12 volt step down failed sending 26ish volts into my stereo which exploded. I also burned out a brand new headlight almost immediately. I see the 4500 indicator light flash when it goes over-voltage (as another thread dis...

I love my M101A1 which fits my 710K perfect. I see this older M101 on Denver craigslist...

Re: WTB: 710K Antennas w/ Base
I have a couple cylindrical pieces with an attached bracket and lined with some sort of insulation that came with my 710K. I think these went inside the side antenna mounts. If they are useful to you, make an offer.

Re: Replacing front floor pan 710K?
I have the spare part 16... it is quite a part, much more than just a floor! So I am trying to figure out how to install it whole because chopping it up seems a shame. It doesn't seem like you'd have to remove the body to get at this. The whole piece is forward of all the parts you mention. The only...

Re: Replacing front floor pan 710K?
I didn't realize how complicated this floor is! I thought some of this stuff was below the floor meaning it would have to be replaced from above. But now it seems like the only thing other than the stuff that goes through the floor that hinders this from the bottom is the angled bit of chassis that ...

Re: Replacing front floor pan 710K?
When LinDen received the floor... they said no. Too big a job. I guess I understand when I see their yard full of like 2 unimogs, 3 pinzgauers, 2 range rovers and maybe a half dozen sprinter vans.
