Re: Ignition key stuck

I got the key out and sure enough after cleaning it, it’s a master lock key. Inside the key hole there’s a silver bit that dropped down locking it in place. I can stick a screw driver, or any flat metal to use as a key unfortunately.

Re: Ignition key stuck

Thanks. I'll have to take a picture today. The key doesn't look like the normal Pinzgauer key, so I'm thinking the previous owner jamb a key in there. There is play in the key, meaning it does wiggle a bit. I'm going to try looking at it closely to see if I can see if it's bent in there, currently t...

Ignition key stuck

I figured this question would be suited under electrical. I have a '73 Pinzgauer 710M and the key is stuck in the ignition. It starts and runs great etc. But when in the off position the key can't be pulled out.

Any thoughts or ideas would help.

countersunk rivets for side wall hooks

I need to replace one side wall hook to hold the top rubber in place. I have the hook, does anyone know the size of the countersunk blind rivets used?

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Piston swap question

Ok, I finally have the parts. Everything else is removed and I'm ready to go. Since I'll be installing the cylinder onto the piston (I'm use to installing the piston into the cylinder) would the same piston ring compressor work or is there a specialized ring compressor tool I would need? And as luck...

Piston swap question

So I bought a '74 710 which had zero compression on cylinder #4. All other cylinders have 130-150. With the engine in place I removed the valve head and cylinder thinking it maybe a bad valve or broken rings. Well it is definitely broken rings but also a cracked piston sidewall. So easy enough, buy ...
