Re: Alternate spare tire location on 712 AMB?
Roof rack was my very first thought but then I started thinking about how I would get it down and up! The screws above the windows are in thin metal with little screw engagement but I think they would be much stronger with rivnuts. Might even be able to step up screw size a bit. Ideal is to come dow...

Alternate spare tire location on 712 AMB?
I have 33" tires on Transit wheels on my 712 AMB-S and love them. I like the wider stance from the transit wheels and the additional highway speed (I can maintain 62mph on a 2+% grade at 93 kmph on the spedo and can hit the 4500 limit at about 67mph on level ground). The conversion goes from 1....

Re: Torque for Transit Wheels?
I found some technical info by year and model and some of the heavier and higher horse power Transport models use 204 Nm (150 lb-ft).

The 33.3" puncture resistant MAXXIS 255s. Very aggressive tread and feel very heavy.

Torque for Transit Wheels?
Ford spec is 100 lb-ft (136 Nm) for those wheels. Anyone have issues tightening to 200 Nm (147 lb-ft) Pinz specs? I don't want to bend the raised nut seats.

Re: Safe lifting points for a tire shop with a lift
Sounds like I need to buy two more jack stands to go with the four I have already. I had back surgery 6 weeks ago but I guess I can count this towards the PE I'm supposed to be starting

Safe lifting points for a tire shop with a lift
To make a long story short I had Walmart install my tires on Transit rims and I brought them home in a trailer for installation because I needed to inspect and adjust my drum brakes. I also did not want them to confuse spherical and tapered lug nuts. It took them almost four hours to do seven tires....

The outlet and plug are a European Standard sold under the Powerlet brand (the very same company famous for making heated gloves and jackets). They are common on European and Japanese motorcycles. You should have no problem finding them (as well as many accessories). Some venders in the US will call...

Re: Inverter generator in the ambulance dual Eberspächer compartment?
looks to be very loud.. take a look a the generac 3500 move then enough power to run a 13500 BTU a/c Might barely fit without the frame and the functions of the front panel relocated elsewhere but then again it might not. Compartmentg is only 14.5" deep. Would also need an aftermarket starter....
