Re: Leads on basically shipping a Pinz coast to coast?
Alright thanks guys, I'll give it a shot. It's been several years since I've had a car shipped.

Re: VW Jetronic mechanical fuel injection swap
This is so cool! I've owned many CIS cars over the years but would never think to adapt the system to a Pinz, nice work! Hopefully you won't run into any hotstart issues...maybe insulate those braided lines a bit? Keep up the excellent work!

Leads on basically shipping a Pinz coast to coast?
I know I can find a shipping company and get a quote (and an endless ringing phone) but does anyone have a reliable contact for shipping a Pinz 710m from NY to MT?
Thanks,
MTPinz.
Thanks,
MTPinz.

Re: WTB Tuff River 710M top
Fwiw, I sent an email to them a couple months ago about a 710 top, and he mentioned that if I didn't mind waiting 6-8 months that he could get it done...might want to give them a call!

Re: Stow and Go seat swap
Those smart car seats seem really narrow, but maybe it's just the angle. Thanks for the pic Hotzenplotz, I wonder what the difference in dimensions the two are to each other. Mr Zero, did you bolt those to the K's factory location? I really like that idea of a cargo deck with those underneath, nice ...

Re: Stow and Go seat swap
Hey thanks for the info Ron! That's good to know about the Smart car seats, not a bad price either.
I've updated my location. I'll add more to my info when I'm actually behind the wheel of a Pinz!

Stow and Go seat swap
Has anyone used the Chrysler Stow&Go seats in place of the stockers? I put some in my Vanagon and they're great! Low profile, which it looks like a Pinz needs, and they fold flat with a hard plastic back. The underside has a nice metal surface to bolt to, and they're comfortable to boot. Not sur...

Re: Arnie's 712
This was around 6 years ago. Don't get me wrong, he was a super nice guy but I guess I always think of him as being invincible because, you know, he's Arnold.
That rig is pretty awesome though...are those Hutchinson beadlocks on there?

I randomly met Arnold on a hiking trail out here where I live. Boy he was really red and sweaty, ha! Must of been the elevation .

Re: New member looking for a Pinz 710k
No worries about the tin can affect, that can be mitigated somewhat. Thanks for the suggestions fellas! Have a pic of the fabricated top? I'll go ahead and give Andre a call too, thanks for his number. I did watch the videos stickied at the top of the forum and they're great! I feel like I already k...

New member looking for a Pinz 710k
Hello! I'm driving right into the Pinzgauer world and am looking for a good condition 710K. I was curious where the best place to find one may be? I've searched the obvious places like Craig's and eBay, but not much turns up. Is there somewhere else I should look, besides right here? I'm in Montana,...
