Re: J.R.'s EFI Kit
I got a call on this post so I'd figure I chime in. I am one of the originally kit owners. I know of four other Pinzgauers besides this one that were successfully installed. When the kits were originally delivered most leaked around the welds. My shop remade the fuel rail, and replaced the throttle ...

Re: bad mpg, high rpms \ speedo and oil?
I had Jakes kit. Don't think Jake was or is the best welder. Check the base as most kits were warped, also may have blown a gaskit from back firing. Easy enough to find with brake clean. Also you should have a small programmer where you can follow your O2 Rpm and adjust your map. Don't think i'd jus...

David, the guy that bought my pinz. Lives in the Huston area. Said he had plans on having at the British car show this weekend. He drove it home on the turnpike yesterday. Glad I programmed the rev limiter at 4,000 rpm.

Re: I have little to no electrical knowledge, need help.
. . You'll kill those batteries very quickly running A/C off of batteries. The stock alternator is not strong enough to power everything you're after and a solar cell will not provide enough either. You can charge your aux batteries at home and wear them out quickly, or look at a generator. I get a...

Re: How tough is the fuel injection system?
Get rid of the freaking pvc air intake and put the factory air cleaner back on it! I've driven mine with the same set up (although the install looks a little cleaner)
several thousand miles. I'd say it out preforms the factory carbs.

Re: Speed upgrades?
Going that fast in a vehicle designed to top out around 55-60 MPH will also wear out certain items VERY quickly. Hub seals, tranny seals, brakes will all wear out quickly when overtaxing them in the capacity that you're suggesting Michael if you truly believe this the same would apply to the 716/71...
