I heard time ago that someone bolted 200kg steel plate firmly on the rear part of the floor.

Here you may see the interior. Nothing particular I think, since the rails for stretchers (originally on the left side) were removed and replaced with the usual seat banks.

I do agree. Strange, but when I did a look into some pics from the time, when this pinzi was not assembled yet it apeared that the engine actually does not protrude much into the rear compartment. Now it seems to me, that the man simply bolted in the box he had at hand, just to spare time. I am quit...

It is a perforated steel plate which protects the water cooler.

Diesel conversion driving report

Several months ago, I reported about a man, who was doing a Pinzi diesel conversion with the Citroen C25 engine. Well, yesterday he come around with the rig fully finished and registered. He allowed me to go behind the steering wheel and off we went. Personally I am the fan of keeping the pinzi full...

Thanks for some advice. Maybe I shall explain more. The fact is, that the engine runs really well no matter the load and can go the whole day without sputtering (real pleasure do drive). The condition which provokes cut-out and sputter is obviously when the throttle is released while under load at r...

Cut-outs and sputter

Well. After all ignition and carburettor adjustments, I am quite satisfied with the engine behaviour. Starts right on and goes smooth and strong. If driven more or less steady at 70 kph (~50 mph) it returns 15 liters per 100 km. What still wonders me are occasional cut-outs followed by powerfull spu...

Check the master cylinder inner surface. I had same issue on my old Range rover maybe 15 years ago. Usually it worked, but could suddenly drop without oil loss or air in the system. I almost got killed on the mountain road. Clue was bad inner surface where piston could not seal properly. Bought a ne...

Source of the whine are most likely the cone gears within the rear diff. Mechanical engineers know very well that cone gears are notorious loud (and expensive as well), and are therefore usually avoided as much as possibile. Energy transfer efficiency is also the worst of all types of gear drives. B...

Axle boots

This week I am replacing the axle rubber boots (all 4 are shreeded). It is really labourous and time consuming job. A real pain is to drive out the rusted bolts holding the outer axles on place. My question is if someone have an information regarding how much shall I tighten those bolts back (and a ...

This issue was covered before somewhere within this forum.
As much as I remember, the cause is some sort of waxy deposit inside of the master cylinder.
I have similar problem with front lock, but no time to make a repair (cleaning).

Can anyone suggest what the voltage should be. I have checked mine and it reads somehow 20 volts. It seems a bit high for me, but I have no reference. Needles to say that I have sort of similar problems. Engine works fine unless I want more load (faster or uphill). Then it cuts off and recovers at i...

Dennis I must admit, when I visited that man it came across my mind he is in some way sort of your kind. Your guess is actually very accurate. That man also had previously built a sports car right from the scratch, just for fun. And I mean really from the scratch - custom chasis, custom suspension, ...
