Alternative shocks

It's that time, my '74 Pinz needs shocks. But I don't need the top of the line, super duty shocks, as I drive 90% pavement and 10% dirt roads. Yeah, I know, I'm missing most of the fun of driving my Pinz, but I use it on the ranch, and when the path to the road is muddy/snowy.
So, any suggestions?

We have a winner!

I received a PM from a member, so we have a winner!

Merry Christmas to you all, and drive carefully on those snowy roads. Your PINZ will be fine, it's those other cars & trucks you need to watch out for.

Late Christmas/Clutch present

Hi gents, Well, with the help of a friend (and some dirty words) we replaced my clutch. Now, I have this big, heavy clutch that could be refaced. Do any of you have an interest in this? I'm too fumble fingered to attempt anything like this, so: Santa Says, You pay the shipping and $10, and it's your...

New (Cab) Top Tips?????

I have 'bit the bullet" and ordered a new top for the cab on my 710. Now, are there any tricks, tips, suggestions, ideas, etc. to make the installation easy? I'm not really a 'car guy', my PINZ is my 'ranch vehicle' with occasional runs into town. I have to 'off road' during the rain, snow, and...

No problemo. One size does NOT fit all. My PINZ is my 'ranch truck', with occasional trips into town (40 mile round trip). Since my odo does not work, I'll bet I only put on 1,500 miles a year, much in the "snow" and "mud" seasons. That's not a bad cost for a commercial insurance...

New Insurance Source For PINZ

My insurance agency changed hands, and the new owner is a car guy. He represents Hagerty Collector Car Insurance, and I will save over $300/yr. If you have more than one collector car, you only pay one liability charge! No deductable, agreed value, you can even get flat bed towing! I have no financi...

I should have noted that I checked the brake fluid first (I was born at night, but not LAST night!).

OK, looks like as soon as the wind dies down (60 MPH on my place), I'll be under the PINZ with the WD-40. Thanks.

Help - my Brake Light stays on

This has gone from annoying to "I want to fix it!" When I release the handbrake on my 710, the dash light stays on. Sometimes it blinks a few times, so I most likely have a bad contact or ground. I see one wire plugged into the sensor, and it seems solid. So, what do you suggest, oh fixers...

The Danforth Anchor has been seen on some Border Patrol vehicles. Those really get into the out back - so it must work!

Thanks guys. Sounds like this trailer is not a good deal for use with my PINZ 710.
I appreaciate your advice.

Deuce & 1/2 trailer - PINZ compatable?

I have been offered a US Deuce & a half trailer at a very good price. My question is, will I be able to safely tow it with my 710? Is the lunette (the towing eye) be low enough to be hooked on the PINZ? Will the electrics (esp. the brakes) work? The trailer is 200 miles away, so I can't just dro...

The general rule is pre-1986. That is the year many of the EPA and DOT regs were enforced. Go to the Customs and Border Protection web site for detailed data on how to import a car, and what rules apply.
