I regularly carried 60, fifty lb feed sacks in the 712 and towed the Swiss Army 1 ton trailer with another 40 bags in it when I was feeding deer leases. On and mostly off road, up and down hill. No problems except turning in low with everything engaged
But that ain't easy even without a load.

Re: After a long hiatus......finally!!!!
I know how you feel. I took a year off to go truck driving and my 710 and 712 were both kaput when I quit. Got the 712, inspected, registered, and insured again, and am having a ball with it in the Big Bend desert area of Texas.
My poor 710 needs to be resurrected though.

Re: Introduction. I finally bought one, I am in San Antonio
Congratulations. There are quite a few Pinzgauers here in Texas. If you need your truck worked on beyond what you can do, Fritz ' s Auto Service, in Victoria, knows Pinzes. They are in the phone book.

Need copy of old ad for Pinz
I need a copy of the old ad, or story for the Pinz as an RV. I think it was like 3 pages out of a Popular Mechanics issue from the 70's. It was a 710K, basically brown with colored arrows or something on it. Trying time insure my 712 with Farmers and will have the same problem with my 710.
Thanks.
Thanks.

This is awesome! My 712 is in the shop right now with blinker problems.
Thanks to whoever created this and for posting it.

Re: Blinker problem
Thanks, guys. Yes I have the schematic, had it blown up to poster size. It has to wait now until I get back home again. Hopefully it will be a little warmer the next time I get home. It has been awfully cold here, for Southwest Texas, the last few days.

Blinker problem
Been off the board for awhile, but I need help on this. My 712's blinker switch has a broken wire in it that I can't get soldered back on. So, I took the blinker assembly off of my 710 and thought it would just plug straight in. It plugged in fine, but still no blinkers in the rear. Could it be the ...

Re: Big Bend National Park & Big Bend Ranch State Park trip
This is a good site to keep an eye on for temps and road conditions. Once you get there click on the link to the "Daily Report." http://www.nps.gov/bibe/daily_report.htm Since the trip I took last week I've toyed with the idea of driving the 712 to the National Park. Roughly the same milea...

Re: Big Bend National Park & Big Bend Ranch State Park trip
Strange how we too adapt to our environment. It's not all that bad out here yet. We took a run from Comstock to Rocksprings and then down to Uvalde and back home last weekend in the 712. Probably about 250 miles or so all totaled and it wasn't bad. I can no longer stand high humidity. High 90's low ...

Re: Big Bend National Park & Big Bend Ranch State Park trip
we really enjoyed our time there a few years ago. I can still remember their claim to fame "the least visited park in the national park system" If there is any way possible, it would be great if you could make this jaunt too. I'm just waiting for a date to be set in stone and to see how m...

Thanks, I guess the first thing I'll try is to jumper the module and see what happens.

Coils, ballast resistor, and 4500 rpm module
I asked this in the Bosch coil thread and nobody answered, so I'll ask again because I'm getting all the signs from one of the 4500 rpm module going bad threads. This is what I asked in the Bosch Coil thread: I'm probably displaying my ignorance here but, if it is a 24v system, why are we using a 12...
