Re: 2013 CB Performance Black Box Programmable Timing Control Module
Hello Hugues, PinzSSI is no longer available, but PowerArc was the manufacturer of the system and might be helpful- https://www.powerarc.com/papinzssi.html Even though I'm happy with my PinzSSI system, I'm also considering a Speeduino system as it allows for a precise spark control now and eventuall...

Re: Whoa is me, truck running poor!
FWIW, I'm having my heads re-done at the moment with a reputable aircooled VW shop in Idaho. I'd rather not post their info before I know for sure that they've done a great job on mine. They're excited to work on Pinzgauers and are going to use my heads to setup jigs. PM me if you want the info. By ...

Re: Looking for stock steel wheels
I picked up two original rims from Dennis at Linden Engineering in Golden a few years ago and it looked like he had more.

I like the original look too, but think this was tastefully done. Nice.

Re: Idle Problem
Did it come on quickly or slowly over time? If it occurred slowly over time and Starter/Choke helps, then I would think of starting with the carbs. edit- I almost forgot my favorite instant tune-up- clean the spark plugs, re-gap them, re-install, and see if that fixes it. My #3 plug fouls pretty qui...
Re: Catch can
I found this one on ebay with a search for 'square oil catch can' or breather box. There are hundreds of variations. The quality is OK. I had to do a little touch up with a file at the fittings and buy better hoses. I decided to mount this one low, but you might want to look at installing an Empi VW...
Re: Catch can
Here's the catch can I installed in the line between oil filler and air intake hood. There hasn't been much accumulation in it until I checked it yesterday and it was 2/3 full of a fuel/water/sludge mixture. I'm pretty sure this is the same sludge that occurs by condensation within the crankcase. Si...
Re: Catch can
I've installed one, but haven't driven it enough to really notice any difference or have to empty accumulation from the can yet. I was hoping it would reduce the oil in the intake manifold. I need to do some work on the Pinz this weekend and will let you know what I find and take some photos.

Re: Winter is coming
FWIW- A friend had Mattracks on his Pinz here and we messed around with them a few years ago. The turning radius is REALLY big with them and we got stuck more than a few times on trails we'd driven a few months earlier. Power steering would have helped. Also, watch the cross slopes. Going straight u...

Re: Are Maxxis MT-762 Bighorns GTG?
I've had my Maxxis Bighorns for quite a few years now and I've liked them. Plenty of traction when new, but are definitely worn now. The price is usually good on them.

Re: Portable light
Hmmm, that's a new lamp to me. I have two different, original Swiss lamps. One is small with an integrated clamp and the other is larger shaped like a slightly smaller headlight bulb. I'll get pics tomorrow.

Yes, that's ultimately how to confirm it.

Re: spark plugs and gremlins
I used that same method. The hardest part is that SSI doesn't have a rotor per se and lining up a precise 180 degree timing mark is tricky. I had to eyeball across the case seam.
