Haflingers in Nevada

Anyone register a Haflinger in Nevada? When I bought my first Pinz I had to register it as a Mercedes 710M. My second one was registered as a Pinzgauer. I am thinking of getting a Haflinger and was wondering what hoops I will have to endure to drive it. I got pulled over once in my 1st Pinz and the ...

10,000 miles a month is a lot of miles for a Pinz. This will take some constant work, you will never get the noise down to the levels of a modern vehicle. I haul my dirt bikes around all the time in the 712m. The handlebars go right to the top but it still fits fine.

I was in Montery a couple of years ago during a Laguna Seca motorcycle race and this truck was driving up and down the street where everyone was cruising. It looked and sounded cool. Later it was parked and we got to check it out. It seemed pretty nice but paint can hide alot of sins. It did have a ...

A 710M feels like a sports car compared to the 712M's slowness.

I like the wheels. They look like they have the same bolt pattern as ours, the logo in the front looks like the new one and the rub rails looked like they are made of plastic. We were there on Sunday and didn't see anyone around, should have climbed the fence, darn it.

I understand you can make up to 400 gallons a quarter before you are subject to taxes. Plus I don't think you need to put up a sign advertising the fact that you are running non-taxed fuel.

New Pinzgauers

My daughter is out offroading with her boy friend and just called me. They are near a test site in Yerington and there are a bunch of new Pinzgauers out there. She said they look just like mine but with "an ugly nose".

I use DSE. Diesel Secret energy. Basically you add non-hydrogenated vegi oil, kerosene, gasoline, Diesel Kleen and the secret DSE additive, fliter it good through 3 filters and pump it into your tank. It seems to work better than dino-diesel and my engine is quieter. We use vegi-oil in our concessio...

Fuel Tank removal

We are trying to remove the gas tank on my sons 73 710m. We have loosened all the bolts and the fuel line but the tank is hung up on the filler connections and we can't see how to disconnect them. Anyone done this or have any input.
Thanks
