Hello ScottD, you can overhaul the connecting part of the cooling fan. The Fan have to be removed from Alternator. mostly the fan can be removed by pulling by hand, first spray some rust dissolver on, and pull carfully without twisting the fan on the alternator axle, maybe one person catch with both...

It is a known problem since the haflinger times. if the outside belt drive disc becomes play, the clammping nut is turning open. it starts at each reducting running speed, the crankshaft slows shockly down, the belt slips ( at every thiegthness) and the fan inhibit by the belt. because the fan drive...

there are two main different kind of intake manifold, one with zwo stud´s fixing for the Weber Carburator and 4 stud´s fixing for Zenith NDIX Carburator. there are undergroup versions of each main type ( like underpressure connect, with/ without throttle(s) ...)

yes you can change to version 2 if you change both clutch.
