Ouch. That doesn't sound like fun.
Thanks for the info. I will try to plan for that.

Tansfer case jumped out of high range

It has been a while since I have had time to visit you fine folks here. My wifes Pinz was been doing well, I got her winch mounted and wired, windows in the top are all new, off road lights all mounted and all is well, I think. I took the Pinz out this morning to help pull a skid-steer out of the mu...

I still need to drive out and pick up the top. He was going to do our top and Jake's top at the same time and it took Jake's a while to find the free time to pull and pack his up. There is a VW event out in that neck of the woods on Sat. I hope to pick it up then. David Write H&N Trim Shop Brema...

NO_H2O, It would be cool if you could come up with a hydrolic opener on the inside, or a slide lock like the fold up table has. I has thinking of a simple folding "gust lock". If i had the time I could come up with a more "High Tech" model but time is something I don't have much...

I'm sure I can design another gust-lock for the door. Give me some time and I will have a cool piece on there to hold it open.

Spare tire cover

I picked up a spare cover at Summit and dropped it of at the graphics shop we use. My wife wanted the Pinz logo on it. I had to pay a bit for the initial art work but it is now on hand in thier computer.

I took the Pinz by a trim shop in Breman GA (VW guy owns it) and he quoted Jake and I a hell-of-a price to replace all the windows in the soft top and sew pathches inside to reinforce were the top pulls over the corners of the bows. We will have to wait untill he and his family get back from vacatio...

I found 4 DOT-it's today and installed them. Nice and simple. I think I will istall door switches to the 24 volt lights and use the DOT-it's for map lights.

I like the idea of the DOT-it's. They will not leave the batteries dead if someone leaves the light on. Do the stick well?
I bought 2 of the 24v fluoresent lights from SAV and never thought about stand alone LED's. I think I might do both.

Interior light install

I got a big box of parts from SAV on Fri. Yesterday I installed the ignition conversion and it runs much better now (had some carbon tracks in the original distributor cap). I also installed the flex pipe kit on the exhast and the backfire problem is much better (found the rear heater box joint leak...
