I was reading last night in another thread here, I think it was about the 4500 RPM indicator, that the top end speed of the 712 was lower than the 710 I guess because of a difference in the drive train gear ratios? So if you are going to use it a lot over the road, the 710 would have that advantage?...

All things being equal, I would expect the 710 to get better MPG than the 712, but all the tech specs listings I've seen list them as being equal.
