ABC news had a story on those the other night. Showed them putting one through the paces. Sure hope they protect our guys.

Only $1.5 million each. Who cares about the gas mileage?!

For those if us lucky enough to live in Wyoming. We can register about anything we want. ATV's can be registered as motorcycles and driven on the street. We also have a new statute for MUV's (multi use vehicles). Those little suzuki mini-trucks (etc) that can only be imported for off-road use? That ...

There is a small hole in the underside of the "D-loop". Kind of a PITA to get the end of the spring hooked in there.

There is a high speed transmission that can be put in to improve highway speed. As far as long trips go, they are really loud, not insulated very well, etc. They weren't really designed for highway travel. The 710K (4x4 hardtop) would be better than an "M" model (softtop). A 712K (6x6 hard...

Never owned a Volvo, but it would seem to me the Pinz isn't any more complicated. Maybe in a couple areas: dual carbs, independent axles vs. straight. But the Pinz is air-cooled, so no radiator, water pump, etc. I also understand that parts are much harder to come by for the Volvo's. I have not owne...

I got one from Scott at EI. It has a Mercedes emblem on it. unfortunately the last I heard he wasn't offering them anymore. Too bad, it matched right up. Improved ground clearance too.

Darn Molex

So, suddenly the truck starts stalling whenever I come to a stop. Not every time, but it's never done this before. Runs fine at open throttle. First thing I check is the fuel shut-off solenoids. Pull each one off they all "click". Carbs are pretty dirty and dusty, so I remove them and blow...

Pics of the completed "spruce-up"

Finally finished my "little" project. Stripped entire truck to metal (by hand  ) primed and painted. Yes it is a rattle can job with the SAV paint. Replaced all the weatherstripping and window channel. Replaced both the small rear panels on either side of the tail-gate with new ones....

Ditto on more parts to fail, more costly for tires. Brake adjustment takes a while longer. But the cool factor...well, it's cool.

That's what I did too. I overlapped both ends together and cut them at the same time. I used super glue (the gel kind) and it held them pretty well.

I am so glad they don't use any salt in Jackson. I hate that stuff.
