Re: Are the old weber and NDIX carbs interchangeable?

My Haflinger has a Mog NDIX carb on it but has a Haflinger jet block in it. My engine originally had a Solex 34PBI on which did run ok but was problematic from time to time so I decided to convert to a correct NDIX . I bought a Mog carb and bought a second hand dismantled jet block from Haflinger Te...

Re: Curious on wheel berrings

As John has indicated you dont need to any specialist tools - just a big mallet, a mid size puller, a big screw driver to prise things, a socket set and spanners etc - common to most home workshops. Now you may very well have a dud wheel bearing but they run in oil not grease so they rarely wear out...

Re: Can You Hand Crank A Pinz Gasoline Engine?

Being a mil vehicle of that era I am surprised that there is no means of hand cranking a Pinz. Certainly my Landrover 101 V8 can be hand cranked and I have done it - is not all that hard cranking the V8.

Re: 4x100 and wobble nuts?

Going from 98mm to 100mm with wobble nuts on a Haflinger would be fine - now I would not consider on something like a Corvette or Ferrari but on a Haflinger no issues. Just make sure the shape/contour of the wobble nit matches the wheel hole. I bought a set of 12" Minilites that I thought were 100mm...

Re: We’re back baby!

Wow Bumber must have got out of bed on the wrong side - maybe a little less agro is needed. However I do agree with his under lying point about the colour scheme and was going to ask the same sort of thing but a bit more diplomatically. I cannot seem to find the area where colour schemes can be chan...

Re: RHD 718's for sale

I don't think it'll be a straightforward deal until about 2030-2033 when they become 25 years old. IIRC the approx 320 Pinzgauers purchased by NZ are built between 2005 and 2008. So unless there is some kind of "special exemption" for importing vehicles newer than 25 years to OZ from NZ You can alw...

Re: Security Alert On This Forum

Thanks for the responses - I think the issue is along the lines of confused anti virus software do some files that are similar something a bit nasty. After the files are quarantined the system goes quiet and seems happy until the forum is opened next time - I guess something I have to live with. I w...

@ Garry, What are the names of the quarantined files? Thank you, Robert Hi Robert - is as per the screen shot above. I have cleared history, logged out, removed cookies, removed the forum from my system and did a disk cleanup via two separate systems. On reinstalling the forum and logging in, I get...

Re: Security Alert On This Forum

Just came back and in to look at posts and the alerts popped straight up - same as above initially and second alert says "Real Time Protection detected 3 suspicious patterns. We moved the files to quarantine". As I said on when this forum is accessed. I will clear cookies etc for the forum and see i...

Re: Water and winches don't mix while off-roading in Mojave!

Like all equipment - winches need to be dismantled regularly (once a year if used often) and have the grease etc replaced and properly resealed so water cannot get in. Certainly as minimum what you have done - check it after a dunking.

Security Alert On This Forum

Hi - I cannot find an Admin section so will post here. Over the past two days, whenever I open this forum - and no other forum or websites - I get security alerts from my anti-virus software which later says it found two suspicious files and they have been quarantined. This is the first alert I get ...

Re: RHD 718's for sale

RHD 718s do come up for sale occasionally in Australia but are rarely advertised - get sold via word of mouth. Here is the story of one that was bought and sold in quick succession last year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dytWzxPOZ0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSz1oaZbLlE&t=5s If I had know a...
