Actually, if you have suitable tools, it shouldn't be too bad to remove. It is basically just pushed on to the shaft which is a taper with a Key way so Undo the nut whilst the Dynastart is still on the Haflinger as that will hold it nice and steady ...

If it weren't for the cost of the shipping, I would be after the Flywheel, clutch plate and clutch pressure plate, maybe the Dyanstart as well depending on the cost.

I am not sure that ordinary solder / plumbers solder will have enough mechanical strength - might work a couple of times, but it will fail very soon after you have done the repair. Silver solder has higher mechanical strength, but requires higher temperature to melt.

If the rings and bore are okay, then probably you have a fault in the cylinder head. A crack or a valve(s) not sealing properly. Check by filling the combustion chamber with petrol and see if you are getting any petrol on the other side of things. I.e. in the inlet or exhaust tracts. Also for crack ...

Factory winch is very rare, so you are not very likely to come across a Haflinger with the PTO and a winch on it.
