What's in your pills??? Body lift? Also , who wrote the Pinzgauer's history on their site? Say nothing of spelling..... "Pugh" ? History of the Pinzgauer The Pinzgauer was originally designed by Steyr, Daimler and Pugh about 30 years ago. Its original purpose was farm use. Later it was ado...

This is the seats at ColdWar http://www.coldwarremarketing.com/images/customseats.jpg 2012, You will learn that Pinzes are a lot different from any other truck , and "typical run of the mill" items will not work. Seats must be of a low cushion to allow for taller driver, thigh support cann...

The design was not widen, the track was increase a small amount (axles), the body was not changed for width. The rub rails are taller to cover the tires. Back when this forum had been changed to this format, someone else had assumed things about the changes in the 716/18's. They looked logical on pa...

Neat article , at first, but the data at the bottom half is rubbish..... payload specs are way out of wack ( quoted from 710/12s, not the TDs).... where anyone could consider a Pinz a "wider " vehicle, needs to check what they're smoking. A HUMVEE is a foot wider, and is why it doesn't wor...

Basically, you'd have to buy mine. It has been here for almost 4 years and in simple terms, up to 2 years ago, everything was fine until CARB found it ( in a search looking for '75 and newer 710/12s) and fought with the DMV about the registration, and finally "grandfathered" it..... ( the ...

2012 You need to get your Amby and drive it a while before modding it to death. Many a person has bought a Pinz over the years to find out they weren't what they expected and sold them, not recovering a penny of what they put in. Everything is expensive for Pinzes, and very few things from the 716/1...

Thank you to all that attended, Im glad you had a good time, though wished for a little warmer weather. :? ( it was only 106  ) Mark, Jim admitted to me later that he was trying out a new formula for body bushings  ....maybe I shouldn't have waited so late for lunch? Cheers to all...

There are about 19 712s and 1 710 in Oz. If there were any "loose" TDs down there, Prof Pinz would be lurking in the bush for it. A TD in rhd would come out of the UK, there was a 718 firetruck on UK ebay a couple months back. Parts are from either the UK (if they'll return your inq...

A reminder this Saturday is it. :D Bring any parts that you want to sell or trade off. I also got several sets of tinted glasses in for the 710/12. There will be a DVD showing from ATL, besides the old SDP movie ( if I can find it  ) And around 2:00 in the afternoon, we'll have a video confere...

Ya should hold out for a 712 with a workshop shelter..... An AMB box with a raised roof area and alpine windows. It isn't likely any of the camper manufacturers would build a custom camper, and doubt that you'd pay the price for it if they did. Weight is another issue, depending on how "...

The roof is larger than an AMB's roof. The roof on mine is just under 7' by 14', with an a/c unit on top.

Ideally, buy a 712m and strip the rails and rear rollbar and built your own shelter that would be lower and lighter, and structurally sound for a pop top.
