That is a great looking Haffie :D .

The front air intake is on APs that have the optional tropical gear or standard on APTs.

Though I wouldn't mind the additional accessory shown in the original link.

Re: A trip to the shops

Up in Canberra we will still be running up to 40 but at least we have four seasons in one year rather than the four seasons in one day like Melbourne does

Re: Haflinger Zenith Carby

can you post a picture of the carb installed, make sure to get a shot of the pump link location. Pump is same as Pinz or Mog, however, link location is furthest out . Also make sure fuel is not dripping onto throttle plates when running at idle(stuck float valve) Hi Jim - some pics I took when I we...

Re: Haflinger Zenith Carby

Good luck with your current shop - if they fail or have issues - I would recommend you just ship the carb directly to Jim. He can check it, rebuild parts if needed and probably even test it on an actual Haflinger before shipping it back to you. Cheers, Dan On reflection I should have sent the carby...

Re: Haflinger Zenith Carby

Thanks Jim - unfortunately the car is now in with the tuner on the other side of the city and I do not have a pic - however on your earlier advice (I gave your advice as you wrote it to the rebuilder) the linkage to the accelerator pump is on the outer hole on the linkage. When I first put the carby...

Re: Haflinger Zenith Carby

An update and of course further issues :( . I was not able to obtain the required jets in Aust and ended up buying a Haflinger jet block with jets and venturis installed. This went into a carby builder with the unimog carby to be rebuild - the builder used the haflinger jet block as a complete unit ...

We didn't - I think you will find the original poster did not do well in geography at school :( and has mixed up Australia with Austria.

Re: Hummer H1

A few years back was 4wding in my FC101 with two 4x4 Pinzgauers and a H1. It was interesting to compare the capabilities of the three vehicles on the same terrain at the same time. General comments are the Pinz great clearance an climbing ability but because of the high C of G very unstable and a co...

Re: Winter, time to reset the clock

I've been set to Australian time ever since joining and didn't know about that setting! And what is wrong with that  Us peoples in the correct hemisphere are coming into Summer and changed to summer time a month ago, though at the current moment it does feel as if we are still in winter. Garry

Re: Haflinger Zenith Carby

Haflinger version is closest to the Unimog type. Just change out the jets and venturi inserts. Venturi 22mm, main jet sizes 95/100/105/110/115, idle jet 45, air correction jet 240, idle air jet 80, pump jet 40, starter jet 190, use the Unimog injection tubes(squirters/part#79 in parts book) as the ...

Re: electric power steering

You are quite correct and for that reason I have issues with the electric option. It is a shame that they do not make them for vehicles 1000lb heavier.
