Regular brake fluid DOT3. Look for your leak, check weep hole on bottom of bell housing after sitting. If it is wet you will need to pull the slave cyl to verify(it will be wet). A leaking slave can cause starter failure if left unrepaired :shock:

The switch is on the master cylinder facing forward. Check for missing insulation or melting of the wires near the switch :wink:
The switch just threads into the master cylinder.

Ther eis no vacuum advance, that line removes moisture from the distributor.
A lot of guys run up to 10 deg btdc :wink:

Spray a little WD40 or contact cleaner into the key switch to clean the contacts :wink:

That would be a hydraulic leak :( Check the locker slave seal. They get hard with age and temp, see my previous posts in this section, pic's are posted :wink:
Slave is easy to repair :wink:

Make sure the trans is in neutral, try using a magnet and a pick, the pin is a shift fork pivot. If the pin falls in, it may not be easy to retrieve without removing the trans :(

Yes, it is broken :cry: The pin is recessed in the case and must be removed. You can drill a hole into the plate and then mig weld back onto the pin. I use a sharp drill bit and low speed to grab and pull out the broken pin while it is spinning. Use very light contact pressure when drilling or the p...
