So far as the Pinz is concerned the only other potential problem I see is in it's standard mil drab you might have a few problems with a few officials who know it is a military vehicle and civilians are not allowed to drive mil trucks in some countries. I asked Ewald once why he painted his 712 bri...

Apparently Machinists are a proud breed,I was quoted $640 to make my hub. Gee's they know how to charge in the US. Admittedly I supplied the material for my pulley (a 30kg slug of steel) but I think I paid about $100Aus ($75US) machining charge. I could have done it myself but it was "cheaper&...

The longest trip I've travelled in mine on a trip was about 3000 km (1875 miles), but I know of one bloke who did an 8000 km (5000 miles) trip through Outback Australia (up the Canning etc ..... the Canning S...

I might have to go up and have a closer look at the 6100 unit. Ohh and PS...The best thing I EVER fitted..... besides the Webasto hea...

A mate of mine used to compete regularly over in Malaysia in the Rainforest Challenge.
Quite a lot of the vehicles that originally reccee'd the route and acted as backup for the event were Volvo axled Land Rovers ....... they were almost as common as Toyota 4WD's are here

I think I've posted this already, but here are a couple of pics of a LR/Volvo hybrid that a mate built a few years ago! It has since been converted to a Ute with a 4.6 litre V8 http://www.lrocv.com.au/gallery/albums/userpics/10005/DSCF0011.JPG http://www.lrocv.com.au/gallery/albums/userpics/10005/DS...
