ok so yours are 24" with 10 teeth showing (and I figure an 1" per tooth)
So with 4 teeth showing they were 18" + the wood

At some point I want to tackle my diff seals and I want to ensure the truck is properly supported, as it may sit like that for a while. I discovered that many guys use a cribbing of either 12" pieces of 2x4 or 4x4, screwed together, and the stands on top. What do you guys think? This is a roug...

I think your on the right track
4x4's with solid 2x tops but I would lag everything together for better shear strength.
I would also make the bottom solid so it is stable in all directions
