Re: EZ power steering
Even if you go with the power steering it's a good idea to wrap something around your steering wheel to take away the skinniness of it and give you a better grasp. I wrapped mine with two turns of parachute cord. The result is amazing; really worth the effort. Parking always takes some determination...

I'd like a 712 too, but they are worth 150% or more right off the bat. In small spaces, like where I live, I 'm happy with my 710.

Re: Increasing engine oil level?
I always check my oil before startup. Otherwise it is very difficult as it gets splashed all over the dipstick.

Re: Hummer H1
I agree with all of the above. Just want to add that they were designed for the desert. In steep hills and in the mud they are way underpowered. A buddy of mine sold his HMMWV for that reason alone. Now he has an M35A2 4x4, which fares much better in the mud he likes to drive in, and is cheaper, alt...

I guess it'll be hard to find such a lucky guy. I'm sure you will be pleased with either truck. Good luck.

They are all beautiful, besides their usefulness. I especially like one that protects the underside (underguards?). Wish you were here.

1.- Tires.
2.- Something to wrap the steering wheel with.
Will be shopping for a backup cam ( I've got a K and trailer).
I need nothing else.

Is it the fuel solenoids in the carbs? They should turn off the fuel when the ignition key is off.

Mine has a yellow dot with fingerpainted "S i/c" (or S i/o) under it. No idea what it means.

Yes, mine are plastic too. Plastic tends to bend a little. I tried to find aluminum pipe in that size, but gave up. When the Swiss army sold their trucks they stripped them all of anything radio-like, including the radio bases and "cage" for the radio table and the antennas. Maybe you coul...

Re: Leather Steering Wheel Cover
I wrapped up mine in parachute cord. Kind of labor intensive but the result is amazing. 2+ years and have never needed to adjust it, since its so stretchable. I like driving my 710 with leather gloves anyway.
