Re: Security Alert On This Forum

Thanks for the responses - I think the issue is along the lines of confused anti virus software do some files that are similar something a bit nasty. After the files are quarantined the system goes quiet and seems happy until the forum is opened next time - I guess something I have to live with. I w...

Re: Security Alert On This Forum

@ Garry, What are the names of the quarantined files? Thank you, Robert Hi Robert - is as per the screen shot above. I have cleared history, logged out, removed cookies, removed the forum from my system and did a disk cleanup via two separate systems. On reinstalling the forum and logging in, I get...

Re: Water and winches don't mix while off-roading in Mojave!

Like all equipment - winches need to be dismantled regularly (once a year if used often) and have the grease etc replaced and properly resealed so water cannot get in. Certainly as minimum what you have done - check it after a dunking.

Security Alert On This Forum

Hi - I cannot find an Admin section so will post here. Over the past two days, whenever I open this forum - and no other forum or websites - I get security alerts from my anti-virus software which later says it found two suspicious files and they have been quarantined. This is the first alert I get ...

Re: RHD 718's for sale

RHD 718s do come up for sale occasionally in Australia but are rarely advertised - get sold via word of mouth. Here is the story of one that was bought and sold in quick succession last year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dytWzxPOZ0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSz1oaZbLlE&t=5s If I had kn...

Re: Craigslist

Thanks for that - yes double checked the rules about posting frequency etc. I guess I would not have to post here (the main reason this is the only forum I go on that often has links to Craigslist so people know about it) if Craigslist had a decent help system - like a automatically generated messag...

Re: Abandoned for 60 yrs., Land Rover recovered and restored

The trip they did all those years ago was a real feat of endurance. The vehicles they used were the then top of the range Short Wheel Base Station Wagons - very expensive and now exceptionally rare. Just so happens that I have one that will require complete restoration. It is great to see this old v...
