we need some more pictures as it accelerates towards being finished! You are on the home stretch now - mostly paint and reassemble things by the looks of it. Do you remember where everything goes?

Re: Took my Haflinger Lurch to a night trials
Went to another trial over the weekend. Here's another short video of the easiest section of the day - I managed to clear it, but some of the others did not as they got stuck in the big hole because they only had 4 wheel drive and no diff locks!

Re: Took my Haflinger Lurch to a night trials
True, but the problem is the lack of power available from a Haflinger Dynastart. Maybe I will look at some "flood light LED's" which I can run instead of the head lights. It could well be that I don't need the penetration of the HID lights I have fitted when doing night trials. Just an exp...

Took my Haflinger Lurch to a night trials
Couple of Videos for people to watch if they want. I missed a gate in both clips even though I had walked the route before tackling them - just goes to show, it's different at night! https://youtu.be/1Zj8vj36Kj8 and here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmrOe8GRtNo&feature=youtu.be The HID head ...

Really nice,
Pity it's on the other side of the pond...
Not that I could either afford it or have anywhere to park it!

Re: EI Halflinger703AP
Is it an original pathfinder? You cold quite easily take a 703 platform and put a pathfinder front cowl on it! I haven't looked on Constantine's web site to see if they did make one, but it is also possible that some where made, but no documentation survives to say so...

Re: Colby Emergency Tire Valve
They are just another spare to have with you in case they can help and get you going again, just like having spark plugs or points and capacitor. They won't help in every situation but without them you don't have even the chance of getting going again. So if you can get your tyre bead back in place ...

Re: Colby Emergency Tire Valve
Great Idea, so I have bought 4! Keep having to run the Haf with low tire pressures, so it is quite likely the tire carcass will move in relation to the rim and rip the tubes valves in the process.
Now we wait and see it they actually turn up!

Re: 6x6?
The mini looks interesting, wonder if you can make one with just a single rear wheel? The Merc is just to big! I had thought of something along the lines of a wide vehicle so you get a couple of seats on either side of the Haflinger when it was loaded on from the rear vehicle. That way you can take ...

Re: 6x6?
Can't justify a Sprinter van big enough to put a LWB in. Plus I don't have anywhere big enough to store something that long - one of the reasons I got a Haf rather than anything else like a Pinz or a C303....

Re: Rear Seating
Rear seat frames are not much different from the front ones (a bit smaller and with a hinge fitted to the base of the two upright tubes). If you had access to a pipe bender and a welder, I think it would be possible to make a passable copy of the original type seats. I can take a photo and post it w...

Re: Brake Drum Finish
I don't believe the factory did anything to them. I suppose it really depends on what you plan to do with this Haflinger when it is all back together looking like it just came from a show room? If it is too nice and shiny you will never want to take it off road and unfortunately that's where it's go...
