Great! I have been waiting for the date to get posted hoping it didn't conflict with
work stuff early Oct. Well frankly I hope Alan brings his busted compass again -- getting
lost was fun
Hey, I may even get some tinted glass for the Mozo -- right Dave

Re: Oil leak at oil pan stud
Try re-torquing uniformly across all bolts first. Failing that
I'd go with a RTP silicone gasket maker e.g. Permatex
and skip the "cork" gasket entirely. If you go this route
invest in a RTP "gun" to apply more uniformly.

Re: Stainless Steel "Rear Exit" Mufflers in Production
Does this rear exit muffler also come with the tail pipe and hanger?
I do like the idea of going rear exhaust -- significant noise reduction.

Re: sound deadening ideas
Good stuff Vince, not to mention Redline,I'll give that a try at the next vital fluids change, I've been a Lucas guy which seems to be pretty good on the gear noise front but I'll take every db of noise reduction I can find. Noise deadening is an interesting problem. There's really two major contrib...

Re: Door weatherstripping replacment
Two leaky doors and two rattlers, time to replace all door seals on the Mozo 1. Waited two months for SAV to get the latest shipment. This stuff is different from prior runs. It is still the same Trident shape (see PIX below), but fully extruded closed cell foam. Thought I would share my experience ...

Re: Steyr's contribution to US military trucks
OK Dave, thanks for pointing how tiny Mozo 1 is next to the Flying Dump Truck. Ya, we felt humbled, but Mozo stands with pride :) Face-lift, some, but more work has gone into getting the drive train and electrical system right. I need to find a paint guy in the Bay Area. Hey Dave the MK3 pulls nice ...

Thanks, I'll give that a try, although all shafts had been balanced,
but all ideas are very much appreciated!
cheers,

Re: Another noise thread by a newbie....:)
To add to this thread, and I am not sure this has any commonality with berger's thread, but I also have a rather unusual noise, or better -- a harmonic vibration. At a similar speed to berger, e.g. 90 KPH, there is a rolling vibration, initially vibration free, then building up to a peak shaking the...
