Re: Ultrasonic cleaners

I think the reasons for 3 different Ultrasonic baths would be so you put the dirty part in the first bath, gets rid of all the big external stuff, second bath with clean fluid allows you to run the injector whilst it is being cleaned. Third bath with more clean fluid allows final clean with injector...

Real shame this could not have happened two years ago! You seem to be able to get on and do all the work the "so called" mechanics the garage employed haven't managed to do....

Keep it going = truck should be running by May at this rate.

Surely this is now just a matter of giving the police / bank the various details and let them deal with it? The bank would be keen to find whom ever presented a fake cheque, and the police have the authority to deal with fraud.

Re: EPA overreaching.

Presumably, it is already illegal to use those "modified air regulation items" on a street car? Wouldn't it be better if there were better testing / continued testing of vehicles before allowing them on the road? It must be a "very" small percentage of engines that get turned int...

Re: Hafi Heavy Cleaning - lots of photos

Well, there's only one person to blame!

Pull your finger out and start putting it back together..... I am sure there are a lot of other Haflingers out there that are in the same situation!

I have servicing / checking to do on Lurch before driving him to Holland and back for a Treffen in May.

I really hope you manage to "push" the workshop to finish things - They appear to have taken years to do something which you wanted in 6 months!

Look forward to see it all back together and being driven around doing the tasks you need it to do.

Good luck,

Re: Need an LED that is angled.

One way of providing rear illumination of things like the dots would be to drill a hole where they are, then put a piece of cellotape across the hole. Then put clear epoxy resign in from behind. When the resign has set, you peel off the cellotape and that gives a sooth surface on the front. Now you ...

I hope they keep this deadline!

You seem to have had more than your fair share of broken deadlines on this build...

Look forward to seeing it all back together and driving around doing what it should - helping people!

Re: 6x6 Hafi for Sale

Looks like they had to build a complete new housing for the rear diff(s). Alf's version uses original Haf diff's. He took a front differential and did some machining on it and turned it upside down and stuck in in between the original rear diff and the front with a special turned down centre tube. A...

Re: Do we have a Haflinger map for USA owners here? Events?

Why don't you just put it on the back of the Pickup? You might have to extend the bed a little with loading ramps, but then you have fewer limitations when you need to tale it places. Having said that, the best way to take it places is to drive it!
