Starter motor went back in today, and all was well, no problems and everything works as normal so that loose wire is not a problem it seems?

You are correct, the front bumpers have to come off as well, but then I suppose it is all a chance to look at bits we never see and look for any hidden corrosion, though I have to say that corrosion has not been a problem that I have to contend with......damn well built machines and built with the b...

It is the big swivelling part at the back (which has the drive for the speedo coming out of it) that has the play, only minor but enough to make a definite 'bump' sound when moving the steering left to right......can it be tightened? or is it a shim job and I assume I have to take off the front 'con...

Thanks people, I'll crawl around and have another look today and see just which bit is moving up and down and if there is something I can tighten up.

Sorry forgot to mention that mine is an ordinary 710K with the single screen........except that it has an MB diesel engine fitted, but this yellow and black wire that I have found (and have never spotted before) is not the usual yellow and black striped wire it has a very visible yellow and black sp...

OK.......I have found a wire dangling from under the dash........it joins into one of the main looms not far from the steering column......(I have had starting problems lately...no start....starter motor is away being looked at.....all I got was a 'clunk' and no spin). As I said on the other forum.....take your time...get fully well before you start pushing hard again.......I'm sure that customers like me can wait a while for their parts......if the upside is that you get back on form and continue to be there when needed.

My sticker...much the same as the others. Did you catch my tongue in cheek? if not catch it now and laugh you Pinzguer driver you. I just cleaned out my spring cups and filled them with oil, messy job.

You may be surprised to hear, but 3 years ago there were two of these LARCs slowly rusting near to Portsmouth UK, they were assessed by the Ryal Navy or Marines but they could not find a use for them.....so they went to be scrapped and 3 years ago were still just hanging around rusting........shame,...
