Mysterious Vehicle

I came across the pics of this vehicle while searching for .... "what else" (any new Pinzgauer pics, information etc) ..... and it is intrigues me! The poster on the Forum said: "Yugoslavia made a similar vehicle but not a copy it’s called TARA" (similar = they were talking about...

"If you can read this, roll me over." That reminds me of an old joke: A young fella has just started working at a lakeside "pedal / paddle boat" business where you can hire boats on an hourly basis for fun. After a couple of hours the young fella gets on the megaphone and yells ...

I did look at running a Hydraulic MileMarker unit some years ago when I fitted Power Steering, but I wasn't convinced that using the PS hydraulics was the best, safest and most viable option. Instead I opted for a Warn low mount, but maybe one day when I see a cheap "in need of restoration"...

G'Day Jack, There is no need to weld the standard Pinzgauer rim if you fit pneumatic tyre locks. The only mod you have to make is drill an additional hole for the extra valve. They are a Swedish design, but are sold in Australia and some other countries as "Secondairs" http://www.secondair...

In order for us to be able to get a good traction we lower the tire pressure really low which unfortunately, occasionaly can make the tire spin on the rim and rip the tube apart. Therefor we'd like to switch over to tubeless rims Why not just run a bead-lock in the standard rim (I do and it works a...

I opted to fit Hella Quartz Halogen Headlamp inserts with 100/55 globe inserts (12 volts in my case, but I see they are available in 24 volt 75/70 and 100/90) to replace the standard Pinny units. I can give you the Hella Aussie Part No: but it probably won't help, but as the lights are made in Germa...

G'Day Eric, Here are the "under bonnet" pics of my snorkel installation. I rotated the cannister 90 degree's then formed a pipe that connects to it. The pipe has a water drain at the bottom (near the oil filter) and a bayonet mount at the other end. The "bayonet mount" on the pip...

I found some very similar material (same thickness etc) here in Aus....it's a lead-loaded vinyl. The material had the same "vinyl grain" pattern texture on the surface as the original factory material, but it was straight black unlike the original which was kind of "camo" in colo...

Well, a lot of people have seen what the Indoneasian's do to Haflingers, so maybe the Philippineos prefer modifying slightly bigger vehicles  :P http://users.bigpond.net.au/profpinz/images/large_images/interest_images/haffy/6-8wd/8wd-1.JPG http://users.bigpond.net.au/profpinz/interest_pics/haf...

Was just perusing some Halflinger stuff and saw that one of the parts available is a "hand-crank"... Got me thinking...
Hmmm .... If you've ever tried hand-crank starting a Haflinger you might think twice about trying it with a Pinny   :D

As I don't get out much, which foot does what ?
Mark,
Fortunately the foot work is the same for LHD and RHD (right = accelerator & brake, left = clutch) which makes conversion a bit simpler :D
.... although parts of the conversion caused some "head scratching"
