Rivet nuts

I'm pretty sure these most closely match the originals: http://www.mcmaster.com/#95105a183/=5kop23 You'll need a rivet insert tool. One source for the plier type is here: http://www.mcmaster.com/#95585a600/=5koq8b I have this one and am pleased with it and it comes with multiple tips: http://www.sjd...

If you are referring to the window channel itself, SAV has it here: http://www.pinzgauer.com/showdetails.php?cat=pinzgauer&partno=7111761188/07 The felt wipe strip that goes on the edge of one window is here: http://www.pinzgauer.com/showdetails.php?cat=pinzgauer&partno=7111761681/ Both item...

Hub steps

I've bought 2 sets from Thilo Kass and am very pleased with them. Not inexpensive, but excellent quality and powdercoated.

Very nice installation!

Did you use the 2 bolts that were part of the Sprinter seats or just let them be?

The seats I got on eBay look the same except they have gray suede inserts. All vinyl might be best.

I've used Castrol GTX 10W30 and am pleased with it. Easier starting in winter and good protection in summer.

There are plenty of batteries to choose from out there. I've had excellent service from AC Delco Professional batteries with a 7 year warranty and 50 month free replacement. The series 27 fits perfectly and uses the original pan and hold downs, and the terminals are in the right place. They ran abou...

Paul U. - your memory is doing fine, there is a relay in the engine compartment just below the driver's right hip. It is connected thru the battery cutoff switch and is supposed to keep from damaging the engine and/or alternator if the switch is inadvertently shut off when the engine is running. It'...

Brake reservoir filling/bleeding

I use the Motive Power Bleeder from EI (#EPBBL) and it works very well and fits nicely in those tight spots.
For just topping off the fluid I do what Profpinz does. You can get large syringes from farm supply stores or veterinarians who care for large livestock (horses).

I suggest checking all the ground cables first as some tend to corrode away from road dirt and salt. There's one right by the starter that seems to be vulnerable. If it gets down to the last few strands it will affect starting if I recall correctly.

License Lamp Bulbs

Paul, The bulbs in mine are listed as BA 9s bayonet type bulbs at 2 watts. I think these are the same bulbs as used in the dash indicator strip. However, there were apparently 2 types of license plate lights. One used the above bayonet style bulbs and the other used tubular bulbs with contacts on ea...

I think the "box" you may be referring to is the Battery Switch Relay #7111850380. Here's a shot of the ballast resistor (arrow). http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t142/pcolette/Pinz%20Misc/IMG_2318.jpg With all wiring in place and the dash panel installed it's almost impossible to see. h...
