2015 progress update video
I posted a new video to my resto channel of the various smaller projects I have been doing to the c303 until I can wrap a garage around it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zDclaaH3MY

Re: Finally got a 3D model of the C303
Exactly that. This will allow me to quickly explore multiple ideas for visual and structural changes or repairs I need to make. I work in 3D, so this is something I have also started to incorporate when possible for things I make in the real world if it solves some problem or helps the workflow. I c...

Finally got a 3D model of the C303
Been trying to make my own or source a model for a long time so I can mess around with custom ideas and see how they would work, etc. The dimensions seem to be very accurate, so if I can get it to accurate real-world scale I can actually use the dimensions of the model parts to rough out parts for f...

Re: Ian's TGB13 6x6 (Australia)
Where do I sign up for the next one, please? I really like the idea of clearing out that leg room - one of my only real complaints about the volvo - having power steering would be a nice plus.
Keep up the awesome work!

Re: This is why I need to fabricate a new front window frame
oh wow..I wish mine was going to be that nice. I am hoping the remaining bit under the front frame (the surface shown in your pic across the front) is not as bad as the frame, it does not appear to be. I am also concerned about being able to take it apart when it is that bad, without having to go ro...

WTB/Trade: Volvo C303 center dashboard console
I am looking for a plastic center console insert, the plastic bit with the ashtray that bolts to the metal dash frame. I have the original, but it was badly damaged and repaired by the previous owner with a simple piece of sheet metal screwed to the hole. This is the underside, showing the metal and...

This is why I need to fabricate a new front window frame
In removing the old custom dash on my C303, I was able to finally get a clear look at the crunchy mess that is my front windshield frame. I think in some places the paint is the only thing holding it together. This is the bottom of the center channel of the window frame: http://i.imgur.com/8rrm365.p...

Pulling out old custom dash & wiring mess
Finally getting around to removing the old custom dash in the c303. It is made of vinyl covered wood and houses a glove box, home-made meter with test lead inputs and a tilt-out video screen. A CB was mounted to the handy velcro top of the box. Sadly, none of that stuff worked any longer. In pulling...

Made a new LED 3rd brake light
So I decided to make a new 3rd brake light for the c303 using slim, red LED strips for about 14$ shipped. The lights are 6W but super bright, much more than I expected for the price, and have rows of pinhole cree bulbs with silicone rubber directly applied over them for the "lens", which m...

Not my volvo wheels, but how not to primer and plastidip.
A cautionary tale, gentlemen, on being certain that you let your primer dry completely prior to attempting additional paintwork. I did not let my primer dry long enough. This is the before and after redoing of the primer. http://i.imgur.com/iaQFkaF.png I attempted to apply the black plastidip too so...

*wrings hands enthusiastically* much volvo respect. Just put new lights and window in mine last week, I drive it about once a week or so while it waits for a new garage to sleep in.

Checking in, been a while...
Still loving my c303 more every day, though progress has been extremely slow. Unfortunately, the workshop area I had for it was reclaimed by the stupid travel trailer that was in it previously, so my volvo had to go under a car canopy in the driveway until I can save the money for a concrete slab an...
