Re: 2.7 liter info
Just to clarify, stock piston is cast, most aftermarket pistons are Forged and expand at different rates depending on bore diameter.
Also no mods are needed on the heads as the outer diameter of the cylinders remains the same unless custom cylinders are used. Only the bore changes.

96MM leaves the walls dangerously thin. Beware, heat will be your enemy. The larger the bore the greater wall clearances will be. This is what caused the RB trucks to consume oil and shortened engine life. Just advice from (expensive) personal experience. By the way, the piston to wall clearance on ...

Head was rebuilt. Valves should be fine. Make Sure piston is not fractured under the rings. Call me, I may have rings. Doing 9 motors, let me know what bore size.

Pull the pan. Make sure the oil pump mounting bolts are all there.
If the one on the pickup port side is loose or broken the copper gasket will shift.
Other items to check are oil pump bypass valve or cam end plugs
Use 30wt oil only.
8qts with filter.

Re: Civilian spark plugs with pinz distributor??
Stock points hate water and moisture(and winter). While cheap, they will leave you stuck. That said, you can make wires and use the proper heat range plugs(NGK BP6ES) for much better driveability. All of the milspec plugs I have seen and tested were too cold. This means hard cold starts and are best...

Very nice campground.
