Throwout Bearing Arm Clip
Hi All I have just dismantled my clutch linkage and I have found a small clip that needs replacing and I cannot find the part# in my parts book. It is wire clip that retains the clutch operation arm onto the ball that is fixed to the gearbox end of the bellhousing. It is bent and needs replacing. Th...

Altenator/Charge Light
Greetings Gents My Altenator light has come on abruptly and will not go out. The belt is in good condition and the fan is turning so that is ok. If i rev the engine hard it does dim very very slightly but this is hardly noticable. Does this mean my altenator is stuffed? Is there any other tests I ca...

I thought there wasnt a specific drain.
Spandit do you mean the little red plastic cap above the square drive?
Is that a filler for a sepearate reservoir? I didnt realise there were 2.

Steering Box Drain
Greetings Gents
Is there a drain plug for the steering box oil?
I cant seem to see one. All I can see is the little square filler on the top.
Thanks

Sticky Hand Brake
Gents I have had a search back through the old forum as I am sure there was a topic about this once upon a time which included pictures but I cant find it. My handbrake is sticking on and takes a little jolt to release it. The lever is going in on the dash but it is sticking (I think in the tail) it...

Fiat Wheels
Hi Pinzinator I was wondering how you got on with your Fiat rims and what model Fiat are they off? I was wondering if the rims off of a Fiat 850 1969 model would fit. I may have a chance to get some the tyre size is 165x70x13. I will need to have a closer look but I wondered if you may know off of t...

Fuel Tank
I had a kit with an etch coat a flush agent and a top coat that was a silvery colour which I applied after the welding was done. It was clean as a whistle after sandblasting and like new after the kit had been applied. I got the kit here in Oz but I am sure it is basically the same as the kit that E...

Petrol Tank Cleaning
Mate I had to cut mine open to gain access to the areas I could not get to. I cut 3 windows in the tank, got it sandblasted and had it welded up. To cut the windows I drilled a row of small pilot holesand cut it with a hacksaw (one of the ones that holds the blade on the end and has no spine). I tri...

Flywheel
Thanks Dennis Yes after doing the job it really is something that could be done anywhere if you had a few tools. The gearbox went in a treat and was a lot more managable than I though it was going to be. With regard to the adjustment it actually feels like it bites at a much better location than bef...

Clutch Adjustment
Hi All I have finished my clutch job and the chirping has dissapeared, the actuation is much lighter (due to the graphite grease) and the whole thing is a lot smoother than before so I am chuffed to bits with it. I do have one question though now the clutch bites a lot lower down than before. I thin...
