That's a good idea. Did you permanently wire it or did you put in a socket?

Heated seats

Has anybody put a heating element in the stock seats? If so, what materials did you buy and how did you wire it in and where did you locate the switch? If anybody has any ideas about wiring it up and mounting a switch , i would be interested in your ideas. Thank you.

Re: How to install split boots

Iv used welding clamps, vice grips with flat plates instead of jaws. Glue then clamp. Go inside and go bathroom or eat. Come back and finish installation. Gives plenty of time for glue to set. I also put a dab of silicone on corners of seam where boot meets axle when I'm done. In case glue leaves a ...

Re: 710M realistic towing capacity.......

That was my concern, also. Stopping. Tractor and mower weigh about 2000 plus trailer. A lot for not having brakes. It pulled ok, except hills. But I don't push her hard. And I worry about emergency situations.

Re: 710M realistic towing capacity.......

I have a 900 pound single axle trailer that I pull a Kubota BX 2200. It's kind of sluggish and can't be in a hurry. I have to steep hills near me that I had to go up with the trailer I ended up down in second gear. So my experience is like pulling it with a 1980s 4 cylinder S10. Hope that helps. Sen...

Re: Slit boots rotting

OK good thank you. I guess that is what I wanted to know. I don't want to do an axle pull. I just want to do a good job. I've done split boots on 2 Pinz. One I did on a friends and my then own. He bought SAV for his truck and I went the cheap way. 2 years later, I'm redoing mine while his have been ...

Re: Intro

Hi. I trolled this site for 8 years until I found a Pinz I could afford. I learned a lot and was ready and felt comfortable with my purchase. I bought one that needed some extra love ($). I've had it for two years and love every minute I drive her. Good luck and wait for the right deal. Try Craig's ...

Re: Slit boots rotting

So , how long should it take to split the axle and reassemble? Is doing the front any different than the rear? I want to put OEM boots on.

Stock rocks. So, those of us that refuse to convert, what switch do we use?

Thanks to both. The tool looks superior to jaws type and at a fraction of the cost. Sometimes a home made or redesigned tool is better than factory tool. Brian

Re: Wheel Drive Disassembly Tools

I have been trying to go onto the German website ( http://pinzforum.kiruna.de/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6730 ) to contact Timm to buy one of those pullers, but I can't register on the site. After translating to English and filling in the blanks, It asks a bot question like "The toll for commercia...

712 on tv

There is a 712 on the tv show about Seal Team Six. Does it belong to anyone here? The terrorists are using it for their bad deeds. Last episode, terrorist bought the farm, but looks like 712 escaped without any harm. Bad press for the Pinz, but it looks like starting to see more of them in shows.
