Re: Any tips on alignment?
If you counted the number of turns out and put the new ones in the same number it should be good. If you can't find the specs and it's not pulling either way you should be fine. I would guess a slight toe in of 3-4 mm max and then watch the tire wear and feel on smooth pavement. Good luck. Cheers, C...

Sherman-Williams has a full line of military automotive paint which can be tinted as needed. They will computer analysis and match color samples too.
Good luck!

Re: Carburetor bottom base to middle section bolts
I doubt the white mess on the screws is loctite. It looks like aluminum oxide created by electrolytic action between the screws' steel and the carb body's aluminum. They are stuck because rust (not iron oxide in this case but aluminum oxide) is a form of welding. It's likely those screws have never ...

Re: WTB: Pinz 710 side wood trim
Well the dimensions etc. seem very well covered so I don't need to measure mine too. I opted to not countersink the backside as the small gap does help the water drain and the wood stay dry. Mine come right off for cleaning and oiling as needed. Stainless steel washer and screws keep them looking ne...

Re: WTB: Pinz 710 side wood trim
I had a friend with wood working equipment help build a new pair out of white oak which won't rot. They are not hard to do. I opted for tung oil as a good water proof finish which I renew whenever it starts to look faded. Your old ones make a good template. If you need measurements I would be happy ...

I think you hit it on the head with "kool". This is after all a "look at me" truck vs a "catch me if you can" or "follow me if dare"

The brace wasn't necessary on the Pinzgauer which I'm certain has a higher load capacity. Could be a cost saver since it's not too likely these G's will see much off-roading.

Disappointing to see the rock catching, Hummer-like triangulation bracing the portal hub.

Re: Centre of Gravity
Thanks. This is certainly a good start, I am planning my travel setup and that is why I am interested in the centre of gravity. I plan to keep the heavy items low of course and with the 710m it seems that more weight near the rear is better. I was just hoping to work with as much info as possible. T...

Centre of Gravity
Many articles rave about the low centre of gravity of the Pinzgauer. Many members here complain about the high centre of gravity. I am trying to find out the static (stationary) centre of gravity of a stock 710m. How far back and how far up? If anyone can explain how to calculate it that would be a ...

When you are home in Vancouver why not talk to your local Volvo truck dealer. They may have access to just what you need to carry on.
Good luck.

Re: Haflinger Clutch Assembly Attachment inquiry
That is the direction I am headed with the hole in the drive shaft threaded for the fixing nut. I have the added advantage of a machinist and full shop eager to help. Once the flywheel is fitted the engine mount will be fabricated by the same guy.
