Re: 2 Door Range Rover

Have you seen the prices that original 2 doors bring - they are now a classic and originality is highly prized like it is in all old cars. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Range-Rover-1971-A-suffix-/112351429543?hash=item1a28aac3a7:g:2P4AAOSwOgdYzp9k You are correct the TDI goes in really well and if you a...

Re: 2 Door Range Rover

Much better to go an original example rather than a modified vehicle - original with its standard Buick V8 should be registerable anywhere in the US.

Re: 2 Door Range Rover

That vehicle is greatly molested - the 2 doors ended in about 1981 and never had the VM diesel - 3.5V8s only. It was the later 80s 4 doors that had the VM - a most troublesome engine. Likewise the grill is off a much later model as the 2 doors had the vertical grill. This vehicle started as a 70s/ea...

Re: Skid Steer Tires - $46 each

Skid Steer tyres just cannot handle any sort of speed - and you can get up to reasonable speeds in a haffie offroad. I am not sure what you dont like about UTV tyres - they have a wide range of styles and tread patterns and in my view fit well and look great. Are you on TheHaflinger.com forum - it i...

Re: Centre of Gravity

For a vehicle of its type - a medium forward control the Pinz has a high centre of gravity - while the portals give great ground clearance the tradeoff is a higher CofG and a little loss of stability. I doesn't have a Pinz but I do have a Haflinger on 26" tyres so have that tippy feeling often....

Re: Atv tires on stock rims?

I looked at the Maxxis MT tires and don't see any sizes on their site appropriate for a Haflinger (i.e. 24 inch diameter or so). Maybe they don't offer anything in that size in the USA? Hmmm - I did a search for Maxxis MT 753 Bravo 185r14c site:us on US sites and also came up with a blank but there...

Re: Atv tires on stock rims?

Lots of UTV are using wide 14 inch rims... hard to find in a 4x98 pattern (although the alfa etc alloys are around in that size). I have 14" Fiat alloys on my Haffie - Lancia and Alfa also have wheels of the right stud pattern. Maxxis make 185 and 195 R 14 mud tyres that fit these rims. Garry

Re: Atv tires on stock rims?

Advertising for these type of tyres often indicates they are suitable for ATV/UTV and may have a low load rating. Look for UTV specific tyres as the gross weight of a modern UTV is similar to a haflinger as is their unloaded weight. Also, a full size UTV has similar performance to a basic Haflinger ...

Re: Haflinger Clutch Assembly Attachment inquiry

With all due respect you might want to reconsider that engine :( While it is about the same capacity and power of early Haflinger engines, it max out at 22hp at about 3600rpm and you need an engine that will go out to around 4700 - 5000rpm or higher. Dependent on engine, the Haflingers develop 22hp ...

I just put some petrol compatible sealant on the threads and use the recommended washers and never had an issue.

Re: LR 101FC in Ca.

Build will be from about 73 to 78. Unfortunately the ad does not give a lot of information on the vehicle itself. No winch, no door tops and the hood is a left hand drive hood.
