Re: 1969 Haflinger Bantam
Nice find! I have a similar set of alloy Lancia 14x6 (look the same as yours perhaps I measured the width incorrectly?) and I currently run steel 13" for on-road. I am (like everyone else in NA) looking for a good off-road tire that will fit any one of these rims (including the original steel 1...

Jealous!!
Bugs suck ESP when hot and in an old vehicle with no AC - time to make slip on mesh windows!
Looks like a big turn out too

Just for archive: how did you end up crimping?
Buy the tool, Channel Locks or did you use the tile nippers?
Crimps look good!

Re: Speedo Repair
So the metal ring is off and your trying to get the clear plastic lens off?
I would stay away from a heat gun and stick with the hair drier.
Try some nail polish remover (but test a tiny spot on plastic lens to make sure it does not etch it first). That should help dissolve some of the glue.

Re: Speed doesn’t kill; slowness does
If my pinz was in a crash, I'd rather the impact happened at the rear than the front. I think of this photo every time I drive Your legs are the "crumple zone" Now imagine crashing into something at 60mph  I think anytime someone posts the classic "how can I go faster in my Pi...

Speed doesn’t kill; slowness does
Saw this chart which shows that the slower you are going vs rest of traffic the more likey you are to get into an accident!! "Drivers travelling at speeds different from the vehicles around them have an increased rate of crashing, with the highest risk going to the slowest drivers. Follow the U...

Re: 1976 710K on ebay
Interesting. Looks very nice (other than the huge speaker boxes behind the driver / passenger seats). SNIP Yeah - it took me a bit to figure out they were just speakers - they are massive! I try and avoid any one color coverups on drive line assemblies. I agree but I think the thing to read into th...
